Reduces system wear and extends compressor life. Use them to improve the effectiveness of any aeration system. Features: 13" Ring Diameter / 36" of Aeration Tubing. Built-in Check Valve. Stainless Steel Strain-relief clamp for 3/8" or 1/2" airline. Includes Hose barbs for 3/8" and 1/2" air line. 100% Stainless Steel Base is Completely Corrosion Resistant. Built-In Handle and Rope Tie-Off for Easy Deployment. Stainless base has NO SHARP EDGES. Effective at any Water Depth. Easy to clean and very low maintenance. This is probably overkill for my goldfish pond but when I got it, I was impressed at how well made it was! It was well packaged and easy to assemble and I liked it included both 3/8" and 1/2" barbed adapters. The reversible OD 1" or 3/4" strain-relief hose bracket is a nice touch! I really liked that there was a 3/8" connection hole in the middle so you can tie a rope to it. It works great and I do wish the company might consider making a smaller one. ... show more

1st, make sure you use a 1/2" hose at a minimum Local pond guy recommended HIBLOW HP-80 Pond Aerator & 3/8" line. Worked very well but felt 3/8" restricted capacity so I switched to 1/2" line What a huge improvement,

The media could not be loaded. After a strong cold front hit during summer-like temperatures a couple of weeks ago, we experienced a rapid turnover that caused a major fish kill in our 1/8 acre pond. The aeration system needed a revamp, so we decided to try something different. I went with this diffuser, vs. the round rubber membrane type we used to have, as I was never completely satisfied with how it moved the water on the surface. Not only does this unit make a lot of bubbles, it moves the top of the water much more vigorously than the previous unit did. We have a couple of small coves that didn't see much movement before, now we are seeing waves make it all the way to their shores. The stainless steel base is very sturdy, and much less cumbersome to maneuver than a plastic box full of gravel. The design of the diffuser ring makes a thick column of small bubbles, along with good surface agitation. I am very pleased with this purchase. ... show more

I was immediately impressed with the build quality, all pieces fit together great and just really nice fit and finish all around. The "self sinking" feature is great. I was concerned about it sinking into the mud at the bottom so I placed it on a concrete block. Been on duty for a few weeks now, if it stops being awesome, I'll update the review. ... show more
