As long as you don't need a full 12"x12" then the product is fine. Unfortunately I did and it won't work for me, when I contacted the seller to see about a replacement I was told this is industry standard like a 2x4 piece of lumber is not really 2x4. I guess I don't use plexiglass enough to know that. I wish It had been in the description to I didn't waste my time. My piece is 11 7/8 x 11 7/8 as long as that is all I needed I would buy again. ... show more

I have been engraving on acrylic sheets a lot using my CNC. I needed to do a test run on an inexpensive sheet before engraving a picture on 1/4 inch acrylic sheets that I have purchased from another company and have been using with great results. The test run was at 15 inch per minute feed rate and at 30000 rpm as I always do to engrave acrylic. I found this sheet on Amazon and then I saw the Amazon banner that I had purchased it in 2017 (thank you Amazon!!!) so I looked in my pile of sheets and I found it! Unfortunately when I ran the test run, it was melting with every pass. I gave it 3 stars because if you are going to use it for making a clear window, it would serve you well. Attached are 2 pictures, one of this sheet engraved (I stopped it half way through the job) and the second is from another pattern I engraved on good quality acrylic where you can see that it did a clean job. Both jobs were done at the same speed and feed rate with the same ball point bit. ... show more

The actual measurements are an eighth-inch short: 11 7/8 by 23 7/8. My project calls for the full 12x24, so this is false advertising and now I have to go find something else that actually measures 12x24.

    • 12x12 white 1/8" shatters at acute corners

I have used the clear 1/8" for making quilting templates for my wife and have generally had fairly good results. But cutting a right triangle out of this 12x12 sheet did not work. The 45 degree corners did not break cleanly even after about 25 scores with a professional scoring knife against a clamped piece of metal to make sure the cut was clean. The first failed piece almost ruined the whole sheet. I was doing the breaking between two pieces of clamped hard material on both sides so there was no where else for it to break, but it did. Then using the opposite corner to get a 9" hypotenuse, also broke on the 45" corners even after more scoring. Fortunately I have a Bondic Repair kit and could weld some plastic onto the broken corner and then sand it down to get the 45 degree corner back made out of Bondic. So I will not be using this White for templates. I should also mention that one of the original sides was not smooth. I'm not sure how they cut the pieces at the factory, but this piece had conchoidal fractures along the edge where it had apparently been broken. It was not smooth to begin with and I had to sand down the original edge. I have been doing this for a long time and this is not a good product for making smaller templates. ... show more

I honestly could have paid less. This does not seem like a tool that makes it easier to cut plexiglass. It was almost impossible to get the same cut but when I finally did get 5, when I went to snap it it the rest of the way, it splintered off and gashed my hand.

These things are a joke. The protective covers on each of the two pieces I bought, on both sides, are gouged up and so is the acrylic underneath. On both sides!!! It's useless for any project in which the acrylic needs to be clear and scratch free, such as a gift I was hoping to make for someone. I'm so disappointed and very very irritated that Amazon is shipping such damaged products. Truly ridiculous. I cannot urge you to stay away strongly enough. ... show more

Came with a pretty scratched up liner on either side, luckily when I removed it, it was almost perfect. My biggest complaint is it was an 1/8th inch short of 12 inches either way. I used it to make a window in my computer case.
