As someone who is always on the hunt for the best tasting protein powder or shake, I have great things to say about the Caramel Premier Protein Shake! I look for high protein content in a shake, so at least 30 grams, which this has without being accompanied by a chalky taste. The caramel flavor is sweet and delicious! I enjoy these as a snack between light meals, so I am not tempted to eat other sweets, and as part of my morning routine. The protein helps me maintain my muscle mass and keeps me from feeling hungry. Despite the indulgent taste, these shakes only have 1 gram of sugar and 4 grams of carbohydrates! There are also vitamins and minerals and all that good stuff. How can something that tastes so good be good for you?! I don't mind paying a bit more for the Premier Protein brand, because the flavor is so good. I have also found there are sales and deals if you are alert, which makes the cost reasonable for the benefits. Here is one of the ways I drink the caramel shake during my morning routine: Combine 1 Caramel Premier Protein Shake and 6 ounces of coffee in a shaker with ice and shake until icy and foamed. The chocolate flavor is smooth and rich without being overly sweet, and it doesn’t have that chalky aftertaste some protein shakes do. With 30g of protein and no added sugar, it keeps me full for hours and works great as a quick breakfast or post workout option. This is a great product, the only downside was the chunks of slimy stuff in it. It wasn’t a pure liquid there was something in it. Tastes delicious.

I have tried numerous protein drinks and Premier is by far the best of value. It has more protein, nutrients and less sugar and also tastes great. I noticed a difference within about 2 weeks. Still my favorite chocolate flavor brand. I also appreciate that the bottles are manufactured in a way that lets you know and makes it easy to take off the wrapper to recycle it! I didn't even know that was necessary. Each bottle is at least 2 to 3 servings. All the brands are comparable now with regard to their protein/sugar/calorie amounts.Relatively good value comparatively. Word of advice: don't freeze these and think they will taste like ice cream or even ice milk... they taste like liquefied cardboard if frozen so just don't go there. ... show more

These things are great. Everything you might get from Ensure or Boost (both of which I've used), but without the added sugars. That means a lot to a diabetic like myself.
