Premier Protein was recommended to me by my physician when I was having trouble eating. It doesn't taste overly sugary like other meal replacement protein drinks. Creamy, smooth texture, and heavy enough to be fulfilling and give me enough energy to get through a few hours. Chocolate is my favorite. While camping, my husband and grown son both needed a quick protein boost after an impromptu hike. I suggested they try one of the Premier Protein drinks. They each did, hesitantly, and were pleasantly surprised. Now they drink them about once a week. Refrigerate and shake WELL. Always smell before drinking. Keep in mind these drinks, like milk, can go sour from heat exposure, so smell before drinking and check the dates. As someone who is always on the hunt for the best tasting protein powder or shake, I have great things to say about the Caramel Premier Protein Shake! I look for high protein content in a shake, so at least 30 grams, which this has without being accompanied by a chalky taste. The caramel flavor is sweet and delicious! I enjoy these as a snack between light meals, so I am not tempted to eat other sweets, and as part of my morning routine. The protein helps me maintain my muscle mass and keeps me from feeling hungry. Despite the indulgent taste, these shakes only have 1 gram of sugar and 4 grams of carbohydrates! There are also vitamins and minerals and all that good stuff. How can something that tastes so good be good for you?! I don't mind paying a bit more for the Premier Protein brand, because the flavor is so good. I have also found there are sales and deals if you are alert, which makes the cost reasonable for the benefits. Here is one of the ways I drink the caramel shake during my morning routine: Combine 1 Caramel Premier Protein Shake and 6 ounces of coffee in a shaker with ice and shake until icy and foamed. It took me a long time to catch on that these were good. Not that I didn't think they would be, but I would always see people drink them at the gym or buy several at the store and I just didn't get it. When I started a new high-protein diet, I figured I'd try one and fell in love with it. Now I buy them by the casepack like this. I also have to eat fiber or something else as if I'm just drinking these I can get kinda backed up, but I do like how this is all I need in the morning and it has me avoid the at-work snacking.
