Premier one charges restocking fees, and you pay for returns shipped back to them. Everyone needs to know this before ordering from them. I returned the electric fence because it came in with a damage box and I didn’t know if parts were missing from the box. Now I don’t need the charger/battery but it’s too expensive to send back

I originally purchased this solar fence energizer to protect a small flock of chickens. It's done that for well over a year, with no predators getting through the fence. This past spring, I started rotationally grazing a dairy cow and used the same energizer for both the dairy cow as well as the chickens. With 160' of poultry netting and 1500' of single strand polybraid, I still consistently get 5-7k volts. If I ever wanted to expand to more paddocks or not have to clear/tuck the bottom of the poultry wire so that it doesn't ground out as much, would I need a charger with more joules. Only when the sun disappears for 4+ days do I ever have to charge it using the provided power adapter - solar works just fine. I've had deer run through the electric fence - once or twice - but they learn what it is quickly and have stayed away The cow and chickens all respect the fence and I haven't had any problems with escapees. I only gave it 4 stars because sometimes the push on/off button ices up in very cold weather, making it difficult to control the fence.

My recent order included two of the solar shock 100 systems. One Solar Panel was damaged in shipping. (As evidenced by the damage to the shipping carton.) Although Premier wasn’t directly at fault, after investigating the incident, they not only sent a replacement panel, the sent it expedited as well. I assume they have insurance for these kinds of incidents but they were apologetic, empathetic and timely in their response. It’s understandable that things don’t always go according to plan. What’s telling is how a person or company deals with that. Thank you to Tiffany and the rest of the folks at Premier 1 Supplies. Your products, people and customer service is top tier.

This product stopped working after 6 months. We bought to use on pasture fence for horses it was quite strong the first 6 month. The solar gave out after 6 months so we plugged it in and it worked off and on for another year but had very low output and only covered a bit of th pasture.
