    • Hurts your hands
I bought this handle to use with my off camera flash (AD 300). I’m a real estate photographer and wanted a way to hold my flash comfortably and safely while I walked around the properties. I encountered two issues while using it? 1) the handle would turn a little, even though I tightened the screw. This wasn’t a huge deal (it never fell off), but, it did make it feel less secure. I had to constantly re-tighten the handle while working. 2) the hard plastic created a sore on my hand. Something about the plastic, or shape, it rubs against the space between your thumb and pointer finger and makes it sore. I thought it was just me, but my wife helped me once and while she was holding the flash with the handle, she complained about the same thing. I wish this product worked for me, but it was more of a concern than, a help. The handle I bought to replace it, has soft rubber on the handle. Once it put it on, it stays and is comfortable to use. I don’t have to think about it all day, which is how it should be. I need it to make my job easier, not give me one more thing to be concerned about. ... show more

Camera unscrews off it and it is so light it is very unbalanced with a camera on top. Good grip but threaded design does not provide ample peace of mind for a proper camera, maybe an action cam.

    • Way exceeded my expectations! This grip is solid, no rattling no noises!
Don't be put off by this low price! I was expecting to not like this and I almost ordered another grip! Another reviewer wrote the thumb screw at the top is noisy, mine is not! Once it's threaded into your camera it's locked down! This grip has a wonderful tacky feel. I like how the top is wide. I am using this with my new Fuji X-T3. I have huge hands and the XT3 is too small for my hands I don't like the ergonomics. I keep accidentally bumping buttons. I am trying this pistol grip so I can stabilize the camera with my left hand and control with my right. The wide top allows me to put a Manfrotto receiving plate on top so my camera just snaps in and out. The only criticism is that maybe the loop at the bottom could be metal or thicker but you could always add a 1/4-20 hook at the bottom! I will probably order another for my off camera flash!
