With COVID-19 locking down all gyms and making outdoor workouts challenging too (especially when getting exposed could put my at-risk mother-in-law in potential danger), my family and I had been seeking to buy an exercise bike for some time. For MONTHS they were sold out everywhere, but we finally got a Peloton. No, I did not get it for my wife for Christmas :-) We also got tile and laminated wood flooring throughout the house, and they presented two challenges: one was too slippery and the other was susceptible to scratching by heavy exercise equipment. A mat was needed! We used a yoga mat and though it worked, it was a tad too narrow and short and sweat ended up on the floor that needed to be wiped. Having sweat build up on the laminate floor would not go well. So, we searched for dedicated bike mats and came across this Powr Labs one. I had previously purchased the company's heart rate chest strap and was thoroughly impressed by it, giving Garmin and Polar a run for the money. It also is US-based, and I want to continue supporting American businesses, especially during this pandemic when the economy has been in a rough shape. Mat arrived and we used it for about a week. First, it is size well -- it's longer and wider than the yoga mat we previously used. It also feels more solid due to it being slightly thicker. Over time, this may prove money well-spent because as the plastic feet of the Peloton keep digging into the mat, I imagine that portion eventually wearing thin and having the feet scrape against the flooring underneath. Overall, nice quality and perfect for the bike. My wife also occasionally used it for yoga in the backyard.

It's a little thinner than I was expecting but it's the perfect size for what we need it for. We put our elliptical on it to protect our hardwood floor. It would definetly tear if we pulled to hard on it so to move the elliptical we have to move the machine first. Not that big of a deal especially since this was one of the least expensive mats we looked at. Bonus it didn't reek of chemicals when we unrolled it and within an hour you'd never know a new rubber mat was in the room.

At first kept wanting to roll up once it was spreaded out, but after it finally settled and stayed down. Or stays in place and easy to wipe down when you sweat, I also stand on the mat with my cleat I use to clip in my bike and don’t even tear through or anything seems pretty sturdy works great so far for me…

The mat fit under my peloton well, but the second day I had it, it ripped under my cycling shoe. I would be returning, but I guess it’s too late. I already bought a different mat because this one is not durable enough. Edit: I added back 2 stars because of their excellent customer service. They refunded me and offered to replace the mat.
