Description

The POWERTEC 71169 Universal T-Track (48”) with Two Hold-Down Clamps (5-1/2” L x 1-1/8” W) is your “must have” t-track set when you want to optimize your jig/fixture setup. With its precision-machined stepped design, our choice t-track (a generous 48” in length) accommodates 1/4” and 5/16” t-bolts, and 1/4” hex bolts. Two premium, lever-shaped hold-down clamps, working in conjunction with the track, provide a dependable, high-tension grip on workpieces up to 2-1/2” thick, to maximize worker safety, control and accuracy. Furthermore, the unique lever-profile of the clamps allow for maximum stock clearance. Clamps are easily adjusted and tightened via a handy 5-star knob. The clamp faces are rubber coated to ensure a rugged yet non- marring grip, making these convenient accessories especially suitable for use with soft or prefinished wood stock. Both t-track and clamps feature an aluminum build for long-lasting durability. Simple to install and easy to use. Great for routers, CNCs, drill presses, saws and all your assemblies and jigs. I ordered this to make a cross cut sled for my table saw. I would recommend them to anyone that is looking to do the same. This could be used for any jig for a table saw or miter saw to add accuracy, consistency and safety. They can also be used on assembly tables and work benches for hold downs. My only complaint is I wish it came with screws for mounting the T-track. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I love this little track! It’s made my life so much easier in so many ways. I use it for my straightener/jointer jig and it works great. The clamps slide on and off and are the perfect size for my projects. The only complaint I have is that the T-track can be flimsy. That just means you have to make sure there is a screw in each hole, and you can’t tighten things to a ridiculous level, otherwise the pressure of the clamps will actually start to lift the track up. (I always make sure I slide the clamps so they are over a screw, rather than between screws.) ... show more

I cut this in half and used it on a miter saw stand that I made. One half and one clamp on each side. Works great and is very useful.

    • Lightweight, poor quality alloys used in metal.
I've ordered quite a few T-tracks over the years, and probably my biggest complaint is they are not universal in any way. I'm not sure how many times I've had to grind down T-bolts, or flatten the heads off of screws to make them go into the track, and many of my T track clamps simply do not fit at all. The T-tracks with "orange" in the name, sold here on Amazon seem to be the most universal. The finish on these T tracks is nice, but overall I found the aluminum to be very lightweight. I don't know the country of origin, but I would have to say China based on the very cheap alloys used in the steel. This is very common and indicative of China made products. A 5/16 diameter bolt should not snap off at the T connection. A good replacement is just some toilet bowl bolts from the big box stores. I've also had the threaded inserts pull out of the knobs as well. These worked okay for a jig I built, but not so sure I would buy again. I really do prefer tracks that will accept some of my T-track clamps, which cost up to $40 a piece. It's frustrating to have to try to find something that fits your T tracks, and seems like so much of this is just in proprietary designed track so that you have to buy a company's product. I doubt this is likely to change soon though. Combined with the lightweight aluminum and inferior quality alloys, I give this a three star rating at best. Just ok IMO. ... show more
