    • For hand rubbing finishes, very good outcomes.
After you have used your finest, say 420 grit. That’s as fine as I could find at Lowe’s. This is a repeat buy for me. You have to start with the lowest number and work your way up to the highest number. I have done firearms that you can run your hand across and it is so smooth to the touch that it brings you joy. I get it very smooth before I put a finish on it. Then I wipe a couple of coats of tung oil on, let it set up and start with this sandpaper. You will want this type of finish on a lot of things. It is slow and tedious and hard, but this sandpaper does not drag and tire your arm. It’s too fine. But it will load up. I have washed some with a scrub brush and it is very reusable. Sometimes after you have worked for an example a piece of 2000 grit and you think it has loaded. At that time it would be useful if you had a previously used and washed and dried piece so you aren’t moving from a used piece that has a lower cutting rate than when it was new. So I will use the bottom number pretty extensively before I move to a finer grit. This is good stuff. ... show more

The step up has each step to get the paint down to a glass shine. I used these to clean up some overstay from the clearcoat that was recently done. The material holds up when added to water to wet sand.

It says its sandpaper, and it is sandpaper. Worked fine wet on a toilet bowl with some build-up and a few other little projects so far. What else is there to say.

thus has the very fine grit but I cant say that the 10,000 grit is finer than the 7,000 grit I exoected the finish to jump to a better shine when going from thev7 to the 10 I wish you could order the grit you really use and the 7, anf=d the 10 are not very lasting just a few rubs and i must mive over to a fresh spit and once you do the paper is done and just for my own experiment id like to try the much higher grit there is a 12,000 and a 50,000 grit that sold one piec about $8 for one small sheet. but thus is incredible who woyld of ever thought you could remove scrstches from you sunglasses with sand paper !!? so its been fun messing around with this micro sand oaper ... show more
