Description

The POWERTEC Dust Control Flex Cuff with Hose Clamps, 2-1/2-Inch, delivers an airtight connection from one dust-collection fitting to another of comparable size, while eliminating the need for flimsy duct tape connections or other permanent fasteners. Firm yet pliable rubber construction allows enough flexibility to bridge slight diameter differences in hose or tubing. Pre- molded indents on the cuff allows for easy, airtight clamp installation. Handy set includes one rubber cuff and two steel hose clamps.

    • Hose clamp is metric?
The unit is sold in inches: 4 inches. But the hose clamps are not 1/4 inch drive screws. I will have to use a Phillips driver and then tighten with a wrench. It is what I wanted, but the clamps were a real disappointment. I had a set of nut drives out and ready for installation when the package arrived. Only to be delayed as I fetched more tools. I found a 9/32 socket drive that worked. ... show more

Extremely high quality manufacturing. The hex head screws they used could have been standardized 1/4 inch so screw gun chuck fit without needing to use a Phillips but that would have made this a 5 star rating. No complaints about the quality. I will buy more.

    • Works for what I wanted, but ...
The rubber piece fit perfectly, so that is great. The thing I didn't like about this is that the bolts use some sort of funny size, so I wasn't able to use my adjustable screwdriver that has two different sized built-in nut drivers. I've never had a boot that used this size of bolt. Fortunately, I'm using this piece in a place that shouldn't ever have to be adjusted, that I need one side tight, and one side able to slip on and off by hand, so I adjusted it with a flat blade screwdriver, and I should be good to go. But, I won't use this brand for boots/couplers that I want to be able to regularly adjust. Nut drivers are so much better than screw drivers... ... show more

ITEM SOLVED MY CONNECTION CHALLENGE FOR 4' DUST PORTS ON JET JWTS-10 TS TO 4" DUST COLLECTOR HOSE. THE "FLEX CUFF" 70136 FITS THE DUST CHUTE PERFECTLY, ONLY MOD WAS A PIECE OF PVC FOR HOSE TO BUCK TOOL. FOR MY GARAGE SHOP THIS PART WILL HELP CAPTURE DUST AT SOURCE WHEN ITS TOO COLD TO TAKE IT OUT DOORS. ITEM DOES WORK FOR MY UNIT WITH VERY SLIGHT MOD. ... show more
