Easy-To-Use These hose clamps feature an easy-to-turn blue key (knob) made from a strong and durable polymer. The key is designed to make the securing and un-fastening of the hose much easier, by hand and without the use of any tools. This eliminates the knuckle busting associated with flat head screw drivers or tiny socket wrenches. Simply twist and tighten. It couldn t be easier. True Seal Connection The clamps have an integral bridge component that steps over the tubing s helical reinforcement, delivering a direct transfer of force to the connection, which helps eliminate hose detachment and pressure loss from leakage. Good clamp for 2.5 inch dust sytems. Really like the convenience of using them with rubber adapters, hoses and blast gates. Easy to use and remove. Stay tight. Not available locally without an 80 mile drive so this is a real benefit with Amazon.

These are great but if your using for flex shop vac hose, there is an offset version from same company that works a little better so as not to clamp down on the wire. For smooth hose, these are the best. Easy-to-use.

I was a little worried the thumb screws wouldn't allow the clamps to tighten enough for use with dust collection hoses, but I had no problem at all with my clear 21/2" and 4" hoses. I didn't try them with the less flexible black plastic hoses, but I think they would work fine.

I bought a wood dust collector for my table planner that required several hose clamps to fasten the flex hose from the planner to the duster buckets. I was amazed that the dust buckets didn't come with clamps. These thumb screw hose clamps were perfect for the job.
