Features

  • Put the Hammer Down! This 18-gauge flooring nailer takes all of the intimidation out of a floor installation with the pull of a trigger. No mallet is required to operate this tool, but it still drives an 18-gauge floor cleat! It is perfect for today's top brands of engineered flooring.
  • Install the widest variety of Wood Floor. Featuring Powernail's patented FLEX Foot technology, this 18-ga floor nailer is fully adjustable and installs engineered wood flooring from 3/4" to 3/8".
  • Protect your floor! This Powernailer's adjustable foot will not scratch or damage prefinished floor, nor will it loosen half-way through an installation. The Flex foot keeps this tool off of the subfloor so when adhesive is used your tool will not drag or catch.
  • This trigger-pull cleat nailer is sold as a kit and includes one model 50F nailer, one large tapping block and a Heavy-Duty Carrying Case.
  • Install your floor with a nail designed specifically for floors! The Powernail Model 50F drives 18-gauge, L-shaped Floor Cleats (Floor Nails) in lengths from 1-3/4" to 1". The model 50F can install traditional tongue and groove Engineered Wood Flooring as well as Interlocking systems. Use with 18-gauge Powernail PowerCleats or similar brands 18-ga L-shaped steel cleats.

  • Perfect for the engineered bamboo flooring (stranded) I was using
I purchased this nailer after returning another one I purchased for this project. I was concerned that this one would not work either so I contacted the manufacturer (seller) and left my number requesting some information. less than 5 mins after posting it I received a call. I was assured that this nailer would work or they would gladly refund my money upon return of the nailer... it was incredibly easy to adjust the nailing point and made this job very easy... if you are looking to buy a cleat nailer for your stranded bamboo flooring, this will do the job. ... show more

  • Fits like a glove
This was a very fun and good experience for me. After using the Bostitch air assisted nail gun and coming across this nail gun has made the hardwood floor installation a lot easier and faster. No more lower back pain after using the Powernail!

  • I would buy it again
What a fantastic floor nailer. Very easy to use, no rubber mallet needed. Really makes installing hardwood flooring faster. I’m very happy with my purchase.

  • Better than a hammer
I used this to install my first wood floor. It worked well. Since I made the flooring, it is probably not an industry standard thickness, so I liked having the adjustable foot. The nailer never jammed and sunk cleats to a reasonably consistent depth. It uses air efficiently. Is this nailer worth the premium price? As a novice installer, I cannot say. I wanted to err on the side of quality and an American company. I have no complaints. ... show more

  • Very easy to use. Very dependable. Go buy it.
Great. Great. Great. Easy to use installing 850 square foot 1/2inch strand bamboo 6 foot lengths. Not a single misfire. Drove the 1-3/4 inch cleats to proper depth into bamboo tongue and groove flooring. Go buy this tool.

  • Might be good for thinner wood, but not 3/4"
I was hesitant to buy this for the project I had and I was correct. I was installing 3/4" jatoba and didn't know if this would work. So I asked the manufacturer if it would and they said absolutely, with minimal tongue breakage. This turned out to not be the case. I tested on multiple boards with different air pressure, and they all either went too far and cracked the tongue, or they never seated the cleat far enough. Also, the cleats dont seem to go in at the right angle. The shoe adjustment just doesnt allow you to get that perfect position which IMO causes the tongue breakage. I decided to go with a pneumatic power nailer with the hammer instead. It used 16 gauge cleats and had very minimal tongue breakage. I want to say that I didn't buy this from Amazon, but from another store. I decided to right this review due to the manufacturer's answer to my question. I'm sure this a good nailer for some applications, just not mine. ... show more

  • Easy to use, compact but not reliable
I purchased this nail gun for my remodeling business. I was putting down 3/8 engineered hardwood and had about 100 sf down when the spring on the nail lock mechanism broke. It unraveled as you can see in the pictures. Amazon will place the return but it's not possible to replace my time on a job that was to be finished the day it broke. Amazon gets an A+, Powernail, well, it's a failing grade. Maybe I was unfortunate to get a defect but on the positive side, it was easy to use, light, fast, easy adjusting to different thickness of material but reliability is a must. Will I buy another one, I'm not sure but I have about 20,000 nails to use. ... show more
