I’ve been using this rope as a static rope to set up top rope anchors, as well as with hand ascenders to scale trees for this past 2 years. Pretty decent quality static rope, great value for the money, the core is much softer than more expensive rock climbing ropes. I attached a picture of me compressing my 10.5 mm static rope (orange), versus my expensive rock climbing rope in 9.5mm (blue). You can see how the more expensive rope has a stronger core, and less compression than this orange one. I’ve taken one small fall with this rope, and besides some fraying on the exterior (pic 1 provided) the core appeared untouched. Good quality rope for the money ... show more

I bought this rope to use as a top top for rock climbing based on the uiaa certificate they say it has and because I wanted a short rope. I bought the 20 meter lengy. I can't believe that is possible. In just a few hours of top roping the sheath began to fray, it twisted more than any rope I have ever used (including gold line) and it went from flexible to stiff. Please don't buy this for climbing. I have been climbing since 1967 and have been an instructor and guide so know what I'm talking about. I should have known better than to even try it. ... show more
