What a handy set of ratchets. I have used these several times now and they work awesome. The places your able to get them into is a huge plus when working in tight areas. I have large hands and have no problems with these ratchets. I have applied a great deal of torque with the 3/8th ratchet with no problems. They worked great removing my Subaru mud slaps with only 3'' of room to work with. I also used them to remove and install my rear strut mounts bolts. The value per dollar is amazing for what you get and the 72 teeth gear inside the ratchets is tough! I have stripped many small ratchets but could not stripe these and that was trying to on purpose. Now time will be the factor if these hold up under heavy use. ... show more

    • Good size, direction toggle too loose.
Good size and price point, but as others have pointed out, the direction toggle flips to easily. Had to use this in a hard to reach tight space behind the engine and the dang thing kept changing directions.

The stubby ratchet set shipped out and arrived on time. Packaged okay. They seem very well made. Very solid construction. Smooth action. Head on both are a little thick for small stubby ratchets but they work as they should and a great value considering the price. I would buy again and recommend to anyone. ... show more

    • Solidly built ratchet set from a country known for good QC
For the price, these surprised me with their quality. You may know that the venerable Craftsman tool brand are sadly no longer made in the USA like the old days. I expected the origin of these to be PRC like most everything else (eg Kobalt wrenches from Blue Box store). These Powerbuilt ratchets are not from PRC; they are from their tiny next door island neighbor that is known to manufacturer tools with good attention to QC. And they succeeded, again. you cannot go wrong here. great set of ratchets fine tooth perfect size for the odd ball job where the norm size ratchet just wont do. its been my secret weapon a few situations in the shop. no need to spend 75$ per ratchet on the tool truck these do the job just as well as my snap on ones do. these where a gift and I love them ... show more

    • Great tool but disappointing reverse lever
I have had these about a year now and are my go to tool for ratchets but they do have an annoying reverse lever. You cannot grap the head of the ratchet when using it because the reverse lever will invariably kick to the middle so that no ratchting will occur. It is a huge disappointment to an otherwise very nice tool. i took it apart to see if any thing could be adjusted but there is no dedent or spring to hold it into positon. ... show more

Small. Very small actually. Their heavy. Great quality honestly. Their just too small and heavy to be of any use. I thought it would help on right places but their useless. I used them once and had to switch to regular tools. Their pretty much to show off and joke about.

    • Worked well and fit where I needed it to fit
They are sturdy and at a great price I actually only needed one but for the price compared to other stubby ratchets you get 2 I work at a shop, but it does not require you to provide your own tools, how ever one of our shops ratchets broke during a shift so i went to my truck and pulled out one of these to finish and oil change which it worked great on i also let another auto tech use if to replace a battery on another car that came in, the size didnt make a difference on the oil change but it was nice being smaller for the battery swap ... show more
