Like all of us "junior" mechanics"...we need tools. And we need both Metric+SAE versions. I have numerous sets...but it seems I'm always looking for something I'm missing. With this set, you get 1/4-inch drive, 3/8-inch drive and 1/2-inch drive fine-tooth ratchets...regular sockets in both metric+SAE...(12-pt and 6-point)...plus deep-sockets....combo-wrenches...hex-wrenches in convenient sets......plus a full range of 1/4-inch drive screw-tips in pretty much all the standard configurations (flat, phillips, Torx, hex)...a reasonable range of ratchet-extensions....universal-joints...and adapters. The carry-case is well laid-out...and it's easy to grip each tool, rather than arm-wrestle to retrieve it. I should have bought 2-sets...and I may just do that!! ... show more

I HAVE ABOUT 20 YEARS OF TOOL USE UNDER MY BELT. I CAN'T RECOMMEND THIS SOCKET AND RATCHET SET. I HAVE HAD SOME LUCK WITH POWERBUILT IN THE PAST. SO I GAVE THIS SET A CHANCE. HOWEVER THE RATCHET FELL SHORT ON CONS. THE HARDWARE WHICH HOLD THE COVER PLATE ON IS TOO SMALL AS COMPARED TO MOST OF THE INDUSTRY. THEY ARE USING T8 (VERY SMALL) AS COMPARED TO T9 AND T10 WHICH IS USED BY THE BETTER MANUFACTURERS. HENCE ONE SCREW CAME STRIPPED MAKING THE RATCHET UNSERVICABLE. THE SECOND AND MAJOR FAULT IS THREADING THE COVERPLATE OF THE RATCHET. THIS LEADS TO CROSS THREADING, SEIZURE, AND IMPROPER SEATING OF THE RATCHET COVER PLATE. POWERBUILT THREADED THE COVER PLATE AS OPPOSED TO A MACHINED COUNTERSINK SEAT. I WOULD GIVE GREATNECK COMPLETE SET A TRY IF YOU ARE IN THE 35.00 RANGE.......GOOD LUCK ... show more

I have used the tools and they are legit. I have also some Stanley combo wrenches but the etching is not as same as powerbuilt. Powerbuilt etches those tools neatly. I would recommend the set for buy.
