  • Love It Already!
Color: Wireless Pokemon Pikachu Style: Wireless GameCube Style Controller
I just received this today and I got lucky enough to find this for $25! I had to check twice to make sure it was the WIRELESS edition! It's perfect because it matches my switch well, and brings back my nostalgia for the gamecube! Besides aesthetics, the controller feels well made. It is a little on the lighter side, but that is a plus for me. Be aware there is no HD rumble, IR or amiibo support, so if that is important to you, especially if you are paying full price, this probably isn't the controller for you. It doesn't bother me though. It at least has motion controls which I use occasionally in games, although I haven't tested it on this controller yet. Buttons feel good to press and are very responsive and easy to use. The c-stick took some getting used to since it is smaller than the native switch joy sticks, especially since I had thumb grips on my switch lite(as you can see in the picture). Again, I got used to it really quickly despite haven't having used a gamecube controller in over 10 years. My only gripe is the minus button is in an awkward spot. I kind of either have to stretch my right thumb pretty far out to reach it or deal with my left thumb "bumping" into the left joy stick. It's nothing big though since it's not essential to gameplay, it's just a minor inconvenience I noticed. In terms of actual playability, I want to emphasize that I do not play smash bros, but I do play competitive battle royals like fortnite! I was concerned it would dampen the playability but it actually feels better than the onboard controls once I got used to its placement differences. I am also happy it came with batteries and was easy to connect. It also wakes up the switch with any button press after you have already connected it the first time, which is a nice feature. I will update this review after a few months of play, but for $25, unless this thing were to malfunction I honestly can't complain. Definetly regret not buying another one as a backup. ... show more

  • Great control for ssbu
Color: Wireless Black Style: Wireless GameCube Style Controller
It lasted for years! After about 3 years the stick was loose with a bit of drift and sticky buttons. It's my fault though Lol

Color: Wireless Pokemon Espeon Style: Wireless GameCube Style Controller
Works absolutely perfectly and is just one awesome controller. Buy this now. GameCube vibes with wireless connectivity. The purple controller is so stylish too. Highly recommend.

  • Great for smash with a couple little quirks
Color: Wireless Pokemon Espeon Style: Wireless GameCube Style Controller
As much as I'm not a crazy fan of pokemon anymore (at least to have a themed controller) it is well worth it to get the updated triggers with less travel. That and the fact it's a nice ergonomic upgrade over the joycon grip make it a great controller for smash and other games that take advantage of the button layout (kinda wanted a "gamecube" controller for Sunshine in Super Mario 3d all-stars) for a pretty decent price. It's not perfect though. Even though the sticks feel great and are nice and tight (my joycond wiggle a little?) they still have a noticably larger deadzone compared to joycond which is noticable in shooters like splatoon if you wanna make slight aiming movements. I was a little confused when other people said this but I see it now, the sticks aren't of the highest quality, the grips are great but the actual stick underneath is already wearing from grinding up against the octagonal gate (housing) creating plastic dust. I don't consider it a major problem considering I am using them pretty hard and there are Esty sellers who make replacements. My biggest (which really isn't that big) gripe with it so far is that it feels a little... loose... The build quality feels fine, but the battery cover and something tiny inside just rattle a tiny bit which can be annoying if you're playing a game with sound off or just walking with it which makes it feel a little cheap. Speaking of batteries, AAs? Really? It's 2020. I use rechargable ones but still a little annoying. Now I have complained a lot, but it still is a great controller, the buttons have a nice tactile feel and the bigger d-pad is a real plus (haha) for 2d platformers. I fully plan to get a pro controller in the future, but I imagine I still will use this for some games, especially smash. If you're looking for a cheaper pro controller alternative that you'll be playing a lot of smash with, I highly recommend it! ... show more
