  • I hate rocket league
Color: Green
For the record, rocket league is the worst game ever created. After 2100 hours, I think I’d know. That’s ok though, because whenever RL gets the best of me, the light-weight construction and smooth grip of this controller slides effortlessly from my hand as I absolutely LAUNCH it at the wall next to me. I’ve gone through 10 of these just this year. And it’s only November! But for only $28 I can have a brand new one at my door the same day ◡̈ When they’re not breaking the sound barrier, these controllers perform about like you’d expect. Not the smoothest triggers or buttons, but compared to controllers more than twice as much, the benefits don’t outweigh the cost. AND, the buttons on the back are very easy to set up, although they will wear out relatively quickly with heave use (pro tip: in RL, bind your boost button to one of the back buttons to aerial much more quickly). This thing rocks for what it is, considering comfort, reliability, and value. The mic input and controls work very well, and so do the back buttons. Both features are bonuses on top of an already-solid build. Not solid enough to withstand the woes of RL, but what earthly thing is… Just buy it! ... show more

  • Broke after 7 months but they replaced it for free
Color: Green
Only lasted 7 months before it lost calibration and now the thumb sticks are consistently turning me to the right. Makes game play difficult. EDIT TO THE ABOVE: I reached out to Power A via their website. They created a trouble ticket and worked with me to try to resolve the above problem. After no success, they agreed to send me a new unit at no cost to me. I very much appreciated that and decided to update this review to five stars as a result. Thank you Power A! ... show more

  • works most of the time
Color: Metallic Arctic Camo
after about 8 months of having this the left joystick started giving little output unless i held the "L3" button. after awhile the D-Pad started to rub on the shell of controller making it creek, it feels nice, other than the stick output the buttons are really responsive, its good quality and the grip does wear after time, fits nice in my hands, would be nice if there's a rechargeable wireless version ... show more

  • Better than Microsoft $60 Controllers
Color: Green
After having two Microsoft controllers break within 2 months with terrible stick drift on the left one I opted to explore other options. Didn't want to pay the high price for other options such as Razor or Scuf. Yes this controller is wired, but it works great and still comes with two additional buttons on the back. Super easy to program these on the fly as needed. I keep them setup for sprint, jump, or crouch/slide. I'm not that rough on controllers. My PS4 controller had lasted 4 years, but it just seems that Sony controllers are built to last longer than their rival Microsoft. Won't buy another Microsoft controller again after my experience with them unfortunately. Equally impressive with this controller being half the price! ... show more

  • This Controller Looks Cute, But It Betrayed Me
Color: Cotton Candy Blue
I bought this because it looked nice and seemed promising. What I got? A relationship built on false hope. ✔ Feels nice in the hands—good weight and smooth texture. ✔ Buttons are clicky, triggers feel solid. ✔ Wired = No batteries (finally). ✖ Joysticks? DEAD in months. ✖ Cable is weirdly short—why is my console basically in my lap? ✖ Random disconnects at the worst times. ⭐ If you game casually, it’s okay. If you’re hardcore, prepare for heartbreak. ⭐ ... show more

  • Broke from normal use after 3 MONTHS. GARBAGE!
Color: Green
I take good care of my electronics. I had the same 2 official microsoft xbox one controllers for 7 years before they wore out. In a pinch I ran to walmart to buy a new controller and this was the only brand available so I bought one. The right stick started to get stuck after about 2 month and I though I just got a bum controller. Walmart wouldn't except a return so I decided to buy one from Amazon, here we are 3 months later and the right bumper has stopped working. It's not even a main button! I barely use it but its an alternate weapon or change weapon button in several games I play so not having it is a deal breaker. Now I have 2 worthless hunks of plastic and I need to shell our $60 for a quality product. Unless you have rage issues and go through controllers every few months due to your own issues I suggest paying for quality and avoiding this POS. ... show more

  • You get what you pay for
Color: Green
I've owned 2 of these controllers from PowerA, and I've had 2 different experiences with them. I bought the first one in November of 2021. It lasted a little over a year, which is what I expected given that I paid $28 for it. To me, it was worth the cheaper price when compared to authentic Xbox controllers. Like others have said, not having to pay for batteries is great! I don't have to worry about it dying during a gaming session. The controller is light-weight so that I can game for hours at a time with little to no fatigue. And it is sturdy: it's survived its fair share of drops onto a wooden floor. The buttons were responsive, and there was no perceptible delay between pushing a button and the corresponding in-game action. There are 3 customizable buttons on the bottom of the controller, and though I never used them, I think it's a cool feature for those who want to use them. The thumbsticks are loud when you press down on them, but it never bothered me much. The precision of the thumbsticks are not as good as original Xbox controllers, but since I never used this controller online/PvP, I was okay with that. It was the right thumbstick that eventually stopped working after a year of use. I got a second controller in December 2022, and this one lasted a month before there was stick drift in the right thumbstick. It wasn't severe, but it should've lasted a lot longer than a month before having issues. If you buy this controller and get a good, working unit, it's a pretty good deal when compared to controllers that cost $60 or more. But be aware that you might get a defective unit like I did. If you're afraid of that happening, I'd suggest going with a different brand. ... show more
