  • Item quality is good, but low chance you get correct item
Style Name: Power Tower
Amazon sent me the wrong item 3 times. I ordered the SS1 model squat rack (squat stand, just 2 vertical uprights). The first time they sent me a yellow hulkfit pro power cage, the second and third time they sent me half the parts for a signature fitness power cage. The actual product: recommend shaking out the black support bars because they are full of metal shavings. The construction is legitimate 11 gauge steel and the holes are numbered very nicely laser cut, though only numbered every few holes. The west side barbell hole spacing is extremely useful for bench pressing in particular. The product punches above its weight for the price (around $250-$275) for a 3x3 11 gauge steel rack set up. However I do not recommend purchasing due to my experience not being able to get the correct product despite 3 attempts and numerous conversations with amazon support telling them how to ensure the item is correct before sending the 130lb box to me ... show more

  • Same as the competition for 1/3 the price
Style Name: Power Tower
I almost never leave reviews, but I feel compelled to promote this thing. If you're looking for a heavy duty squat rack with 3x3" 11-gauge steel uprights and 5/8" hardware, and you're spending WAY too much time comparing between the Rogue Monster Lite, or the Rep 4000, or the Bells of Steel Hydra... and you don't want to spend all that money... just know I've been in your shoes. Then I found this rack for a fraction of the cost so I thought maybe it was too good to be true, but I took a chance on it when it was on a sale and let me tell you -- this thing is legit. It is the same thing as the others. The uprights are metric 3x3" (75mm), which is exactly like other imported brand steel uprights (e.g., REP, Titan). 75mm is actually 2.95 inches, while true 3-inch uprights are 76.2mm. This tiny difference is so insignificant, it does not impact the compatibility of most attachments between companies like Rogue and Bells of Steel. In fact, I prefer the imported 3x3 (75mm) size over the "true" 3x3 size because a tiny fraction bigger than 75mm means attachments will still fit, whereas a tiny fraction too small and I would have to worry about another company's attachment fitting. I have had no issues with any other brand's attachments fitting this rack. What I like most about this rack is the design of the pullup bar sticking out in front of the uprights, so you can still do pullups while the barbell is on the rack. That is something annoying about many other squat stands -- you can't do pullups without taking the barbell off the rack, or spending a bunch of extra money on an upgraded pullup bar that protrudes in front of the uprights. I also wanted to point out, for those of you worried about height, the dimensions say it's 82.67" tall, but that is with the pullup bar at the max height. The uprights are actually at 81.5" and you can lower the pullup bar a few inches below the top of the uprights. Hopefully that info helps somebody. The one and only downside of this rack compared to more expensive brands is the j-cups and spotter arms don't have UHMW (protective plastic) on the INSIDE that attaches to the uprights. It has UHMW on the parts that would touch the bar, just not the uprights. Honestly though, for 1/3 the price of the competition, it hasn't bothered me one bit. This thing functions exactly the same as the other brands and is 95% exactly the same product, but is 110% worth the price. It just goes to show how much profit some of these other companies are making. ... show more

  • No Customer Service
The rack is a good value. Nice specs with 3x3 uprights, 5/8" holes, and 11 gauge steel. Very solid with the half rack expansion kit for extra set of uprights and plate storage. It arrived in poor packaging with plenty of scuff marks, but nothing too bad and I was expecting that from the reviews. There is zero customer service, they do not respond to emails, their warranty is worthless. I am missing one of the rubber feet, something very simple and cheap to manufacture and ship, and they can't be bothered to even give me a response. Perhaps they figure I will not return it with just this one little part missing, and I won't since it's already put together. My advice is before assembling, if ANYTHING is missing or poor condition, demand a return through Amazon. Keep making them exchange these 200lb free shipments until they finally do their jobs properly. I don't want some sappy corporate response to this review. I want you to answer your emails and ship me 8oz worth of rubber. ... show more

High value, near commercial quality rack. The heavy gauge 3x3 tubing and huge grade 8.8 hardware make this feel like a much more expensive piece of equipment. The plate rack on the back is very hand for home gym. I had a full rack in the past and used plate stands on either side of the rack to hold my plates. That approach takes up more space, is more equipment to buy, and it's way less convenient requiring you to turn around each time you add or remove a plate. I hadn't really considered this aspect when shopping for a rack, but it's a huge positive. The tight hole spacing is great as well. Lots of room for adjustment. I'm 6'4 and the top hole (40) is where I need to put the J-hooks for squat. I had to raise the top, black support pieces that join the two uprights by one hole in order to use the J-hooks on 40. If the top corner of the J-hooks was radiused it would clear the bottom bolt of that support without raising it above the position it's supposed to be installed in. The red finish looks great, however... Packaging was inadequate. Mine arrived opened and there are some small scratches in the finish where the vertical bars fell out of the box. The hardware bag was also ripped open and missing a few washers. This is a very heavy rack and came in 2 cardboard boxes. Probably needs to be double boxed or split into more packages. It does not come with dip handles, but you can buy them from Signature Fitness. They are heavy duty and reasonably priced. I would like to see a landmine attachment for this rack. ... show more

  • DO NOT BUY
Style Name: Power Tower
This may have been a good product, but I will never know. I ordered this three times, and all came with missing parts. Could not assemble any of them.

  • Amazing!
Rock-solid squat rack! Super sturdy, easy to assemble, and perfect for heavy lifts. The safety bars and adjustable setup make it versatile for squats, bench, and more. Feels like commercial gym quality right at home. Highly recommend!
