It took me about 20 min to install at most. Simple instructions and it’s very sturdy and holds the weights firmly. I have about 225lbs on it and it can easily hold much more. It’s taller than I thought, but yet doesn’t take up a whole lot of room and it holds 2 Olympic bars and there’s plenty of room between weights It Holds Olympic weight plates as well, along with collars. It stands 55” tall x 24” deep x 26” wide ( but here you need clearance to get your weights off). Black powder coat holds plates firm with no sleep and it’s easy enough to get on and off. They seem like it will scrape up with use, but that’s normal and I don’t have evidence yet since it’s new. ... show more

I really like the look at feel of this product. It has a good weight to it and is a really sleek piano black color. It took maybe 25 minutes to assemble and is currently holding 250lBs of bumper plates and could definitely hold more. It can physically fit 4 45LB REP Fitness Bumper plates, which are quite thick, per level (2 per side). ... show more

Currently holding up 715 pounds and looking strong. Easily holds an Olympic barbell and a specialty Axle bar with great security. I have 10 45's on the bottom and 4 25's on the middle with the arm offset with 8 10's to maximize storage. Enough distance to place 45's on middle and bottom arms if desired. I plan to buy a second to put in the garage to store plates for the machines and benches there as well. ... show more

    • Not very sturdy. Fine for light weights, but I wouldn’t load it to it’s stated 800lb capacity.
This rack isn’t the best on the market. It’s cheap, but that’s reflected in the quality. The metal is so thin that the bolts will easily bend the metal if you tighten them too far. Also, the fact that there are only two bolts holding the vertical upright to the base concerns me, given how thin the metal is. If this plate holder is loaded out of balance or starts to tip, I am worried the thin metal plate will not hold up to the torque applied by those two bolts. If you look at other plate racks similar to this one sold by other brands, most of them include a flat metal plate on both sides of the upright that more securely joins the vertical upright to the base. This manufacturer elected to only use two lonely bolts, which only secures the upright from one angle, and is not as resistant to torque as it could be. ... show more

We bought these racks for our new home gym, they were easy to assemble, no shortage of parts, sturdy and stable. Just be sure to place the heavy plates on the bottom of the rack. These racks are around 4 feet tall so they take up less floor space... perfect for home gyms!
