Description

10,000 Watts, new for 2016, edge amplifiers are the next step in performance and value. Taking advantage of our improved efficiency class d monoblock platforms, edge amplifiers continue down the road of reliability and longevity you know well. Satin Silver chassis, Engraving, and accents teetering on the edges bring a high end appeal to traditional performance. Please note the symptoms described below are resulting from an installation that does not provide the correct electrical supply current to the amp. This supply current is in the control of the installer - they must use wiring, batteries, connectors, capacitors to ensure this amp is capable of being delivered between 400 and 600 amps of 14 volt DC current. When the amp starves for current it will get hot and possibly fail. The protection light indicates incorrect installation in most cases. In addition to input current: The output circuit must show a minimum 1 Ohm load (and no lower during use) to avoid driving the product into protection. Continuously driving the product into protection causes excessive heat, and will shorten the product’s lifespan. In this consumer&rsquo. The product is robust and reliable when used as directed. Lastly,These guidelines are true for any high output amplifier and by no means are exclusive to any one brand.

so bought this because of the .05 rating and 5k rms at that impedance. I have I hooked to 2 batteries which have a cca of 1750 amps, from a 240 amp alternator, that then goes to 2 werker 100 ah batteries behind a isolator . inline is a 250 amp circuit breaker. this amp is great, never gets hot even without any air circulation, much better than my boss ar4000d that would melt my carpet when I wired it down to .5. it is powering 2 soundqubed hdc3 18's that pull a steady 1500 watts rms a piece, so I have plenty of amp for these speaker. 12 cube ported to 34 hertz slams so hard that I have cracked my windshield and makes it hard to breathe on sustained notes. well worth the money in my opinion all my wiring up to my breakers are 4/0, not 4 guage. ... show more

  • amp for the price
Very powerful amp have it running 4 kicker L7's and boy does it work them but it's not a true 10k amp because it does get pretty hot but not bad for the price when your on a budget build. So to try to keep it from over heating i bought a second one to even the load now the only question is if I should Strap them or just have each amp power only 2 subs ... show more

  • Need Tech help...none to be found so far :o(
Recently purchased this, and seemed to be working great...5 stars worthy at that point. I have 2 amps connected, this amp is the slave. This amp has stopped working (no sound), but allows sound to pass to the second amp. The light is green, but seems to be dim. I have tried to contact Power Accoustik, and emails get booted back and are undelivered cause the recipient is "over quota". And calls go to voice mail that is never returned. If Power Accoustik decides they will help me remedy this issue, I will change my rating. If anyone knows of a way to fix my issue, it would be greatly appreciated. ... show more

  • GREAT DEAL!!
Matched this amp with 2 Power acoustik Mofo 12s and it hits hard only running the amp at 2 ohms. The amp never gets hot lol barely warm. If you want the real wattage out of it I suggest running it at 1 or half ohm

  • Clone to Soundstream T1-6000DL 3kW not 10kW!
Ok, so despite some of the claimed expert reviews here, I'm going to give you a somewhat technical, non-opinionated review (for the most part). I recently bought this amplifier off of Amazon with the sole purpose of testing it on my Amp Dyno. The Amp Dyno is a $3500 tool designed to test amplifier wattage and voltage. I've been using this Dyno to test amplifiers for around 4 years now. I've been testing amp for over 6 years and have been involved in car audio since the late 1980's. This EG1-10000D states it is 0.5 ohm stable and will produce up to 10,000 watts "Max". What does "Max" mean with amplifier wattage? Nobody really knows because it is a specification manufacturers come up with while no explanations are provided. I personally think (opinion here) it may do 10k watts if you insert a lightning rod and maybe a flux capacitor to power it then capture the bolt of lightning just right....you may get your 10k watts then. Seriously, I'll provide the manufacturers ratings vs. the actual ratings I obtained on my SMD/D'Amore Engineering AD-1 Amp Dyno: 2 ohms - rated 3000 watts RMS* - measured 1271 watts (14.52V) certified (up to 1% THD), 1477 watts (14.48V) uncertified (up to clipping) and 1660 watts (14.63V) dynamic power 1 ohm - rated ?? watts RMS* - measured 1917 watts certified (14.02V) , 2162 watts uncertified (14.03V) and 2832 watts dynamic (14.17V) 0.5 ohm - rated 5000 watts RMS* - measured 2510 watts certified (13.83V) , 2830 uncertified (13.91V) and 4877 watts dynamic (14.15V) *note - voltage at rated power was not noted in manual, industry standard is 14.4V. Power Acoustik's website rates at 14.4V As you can see by my measurements above, the amplifier does less than 1/2 of it's rated power at 1 ohm and just over 1/2 of it's 1 ohm rated power at 0;5 ohm. It is accepted in the car audio industry the 1% THD test (certified) is the one amplifiers should meet their ratings using. Back when I started in car audio, many manufacturers rated their amplifiers at 0.05% THD or less. This explains why many of the old school amps I test do considerably more than rated power at the 1% THD measurement. That said, I digress... By the gut shot, we have compared this amp and it appears to be a clone to the Soundstream T1-6000DL (which is rated 2500W at 1 ohm and 3000W at 0.5 ohms, MUCH closer to the actual ratings I got on the Amp Dyno for this EG1-10000D amp). Both of these amp manufacturers are part of the parent company "Epsilon Electronics Inc." which explains why they are identical inside. Now, all that behind us, I'll give you some opinion. This amp looks cool (although a blatant copy to high end Italian Mosconi amplifiers), seems to be built well and is a good value for the money (watts per $$). HOWEVER, I do think it is deceptive for a company to post misleading ratings by overestimating the wattage output (in this case by almost 2x RMS). The average person who sees this in a store or online with the "10,000 watts" stamped on the box think they are getting much more than they are actually getting. Why not rate this amp the same as the Soundstream 6000DL? You can search for this amplifier model and Amp Dyno and my YouTube video should appear in the search "EG1-10000D Amp Dyno Test" and it shows me test the amp at 1 ohm and 0.5 ohm live on video. I hope this review was helpful to you guys. I bought this amp with the sole intention of getting the "true" wattage and letting everyone know. The truth will set you free! ************************************************* UPDATE! The manual's rating may have been printed incorrectly. The Power Acoustik website now shows the following ratings for this amp: 1600W RMS at 4 ohms (14.4V) - (did they mean @ 2 ohms?) 3300W RMS at 2 ohms (14.4V) - (did they mean @ 1 ohm?) 5000W RMS at 0.5 ohms (14.4V) Which by my measurements above are still overrated. I honestly think they meant 1600W at 2 ohms and 3300W at 1 ohm, but even these ratings are still bloated. My results above in the original review are accurate to industry standards. ... show more

  • Biggest bang for the buck. Purchased three and been working great.
Love these mono blocks.as long as they see the correct voltage they are impressive . One of these will pull a lot of amperage , a stock alternator and one battery would not cut it.
