  • Keeps Kitten Busy
I have a 1 year old kitten who has way too much energy. She constantly wants attention. I'm at the point it gives me anxiety when she's around. She stands in my face and yells. This toy has helped a ton to cut back on this. Sometimes she gets bored of the laser, but the feather thing that pops out is a real winner. She's very destructive but this thing is real durable. It lasts a long time in a single charge. It goes into standby but as soon as it's bumped, it turns right back on. I'd recommend this to anyone who had an overactive cat. It could've cost extra and I'd still be fine. It keeps my domestic terrorist of a cat at bay on a daily basis. ... show more

  • My cat loves this toy and it keeps him entertained!
It took a bit for my cat to warm up to this toy, but now I cant live without it. My cat likes the fact that he can turn it on himself, which he does all the time. Sometimes he plays with it and sometimes he stares at it in a relaxed trance lol. Either way I have had it over a year and it entertains him, which is great because he has a lot of energy. I had to replace it once because my cat was ruff with it and got the feather poppers out of alignment. Waiting for the replacement in the mail was hard, my cat acted like he lost his buddy:( I have bought one for my sisters cat, who loves it and I came back to buy one for a local shelter and a friend who is fostering. I highly recommend this toy! ... show more

  • My kitten is crazy about it
She plays with toy everyday. She lays flat on the floor and waits for the strings to come out and pretends she’s catching prey. My kitten goes outside and brings me creatures. My other adult cat 🐈⬛ showed her how to hunt and I don’t want that. So I bought this and kitten lost interest in going outside to hunt. My o adult cat , she retire from hunting. 😂 so I keep my kitties busy with toys and it’s worth every penny with this toy. Battery last long and charges really fast. So, good job and it’s about time I’m getting my money 💰 worth. ... show more

  • Smaller than expected. The feather hanger short.
I didn't receive instructions with mine. First thing we did was plug it in for about 10 minutes. We tried to turn it on while it was charging and it wouldn't stay on. So we unplugged it and then turned it on and it started working. My initial thought is that it's smaller then expected. The little wire feather on top comes off really easily. The wire itself is really short too. If it was taller, I think the cats would have a lot more fun with it. I think I'm going to order my own longer wire hanger and Jerry rig it on the top. The cats loved when I took the wire hanger off and loved playing with that as a standalone toy, but the wire is so short that when they try to get the feather, they unintentionally get my hand too. Ouch! But they really like it overall. They haven't activated it themselves but we just got it today so maybe I can teach them to swipe the little crystal on top to activate it. How will I teach them to activate it by themselves? I think if I put a treat where the little feathers are supposed to go, one of them will swipe it or accidently activate it. If I put a treat in there often enough, I think they'll know to sniff or look in that area and get used to it activating when they do that. The laser feature does well enough. It's not as great as those robot standing kitten head laser toys because I've had two of those and those are great as a stand alone toy. But this one goes in a small circle, stops, and starts again. So it does feel a little bit more randomized for the kitties. Also overall, the toy is pretty slow. It's good for kitties that are just learning (I have two 6 month olds), but my older cat that's 2 years old, got a little bored with it. I think if it was just a hair faster, it'd be much more engaging. I'd give it a 4 out of five and I think I'm being generous because it's more like a 3.5. ... show more

  • Great toy
My kittens, who are four months old, adore this toy. It provides them with entertainment and the battery lasts a long time. I don't have to charge on a daily basis.

  • Unsafe design
I really really wanted to like this toy, but the positioning of the ball track and hide and seek portion kept attracting my cat right up to the device and putting his face immediately in the laser’s path. That was true even in laser only mode, particularly if you set it up to alternate with hide/seek. While he was still trying to paw the hide/seek feathers out, I watched the laser turn on and track right across where his eyes were, missing them by only a couple of mm. Playing with the balls put him in a similar position. I know that a low power laser isn’t (very) harmful to the eye if the animal can blink in time, but I’m just not so sure that’s true from literally a couple of inches away. Plus it’s not like the laser comes with calibration papers for power. I do trust it’s probably less than 1 mW, but not so much that I want it right up in his face. Laser -or- other toys, but not both, at least at that angle. Alternately, turn the laser off with a very reliable 1 ft proximity sensor. Or maybe put the laser on the bottom tier somehow so all the other toys are above it. But don’t put lures right under an operating laser pointer where it’ll put the cat’s eyes right up to the beam. My cat sure was disappointed I took the toy away, but I think this is just a terrible design. I like Potaroma’s other stuff quite a bit, but releasing this one was a bad mistake. ... show more

  • A fun toy
My cat loves this toy and plays with it often. His favorite part is chasing the red dot, but he enjoys sticking his hands in the holes where the feathers pop out too. My other cat likes to attack the feather on the top. With that being said, the feathers that pop out didn't last but two days. To buy replacement feathers for it is a costly endeavor. My husband is a clever kind of guy and was able to get some off-brand feathers to work that didn't cost nearly as much. To be honest, one of my dogs got a hold of the feather and dragged the unit across the floor. That did not help the cause. A fun unit for the cat, but really isn't dog resilient. Not meant for dogs anyway ... show more
