I was a little skeptical at first but it does hold my shoulders back. I have bad posture when both standing and sitting. I have to try very hard to stand up straight. It makes my muscles tired and I always go back to slouching. This support pulls my shoulders back. It is on the tight side so I will probably exchange for a larger size. Otherise it works well and the instruction manual is clear.
