It is great for outlining or filling in but if you want it for writing I suggest you buy the Extra Fine Point paint pen made by Artistro (5 pack) also sold on Amazon. Happy painting!

This is a pretty nice paint pen, I kept buying these crappy ones from my hobby lobby and so I need a nice well known brand of one. I tried it out for a commission I am working on, and it’s pretty nice. It goes on pretty smoothly, but needs to be shaken a few times as I use it. I tried it on an unpainted canvas and it looks pretty good, now I need to see how it works over my paintings . Overall pretty nice and will probably continue buying them ... show more

I love this paint marker so much ! It’s genuinely so easy to use and easy to “reload” when you sense the ink running a little low. It makes the lines on my paintings pop, and it’s so easy to go over and re-draw the lines that i need to as well. It also came pretty fast as well. If you’ve been contemplating getting one, do it !! you won’t regret it :) ... show more

This black ink pen is fabulous! I wanted a black pen for background work in a coloring book. I didn't want streaks where my strokes overlapped. This pen has a nib that is fine enough at the tip for very close work, as well as filling a larger area quickly. I'm blown away by how neatly it worked on an ordinary coloring book page--the paper in the book I was working in was not special but the pen performed beautifully! Just be careful the first time you open the cap. Luckily I had it over a swatch page so the blurp of ink that came out didn't ruin a design. Since then the pen has been perfect and I love it.
