I chose to replace the sealed wheel bearing hubs to save $600 in shop labor. The only issue was removing the 32mm high torque nuts holding the axles to the hubs. I found no way to prevent the hub from turning when applying torque to the nut with a breaker bar. This Porter Cable impact wrench easily removed and reinstalled the nut. Costing under $100, I made my money back in one day, and I have an awesome tool in the garage if I ever have a similar need. ... show more

Other than being ungodly heavy this thing is a monster at removing bolts. Use impact rated sockets and eye protection. My only wish is it was variable speed instead of on-off. Yet for the price this is amazing. Air tools at home would be best but this is the next best thing...

This electric impact had no problems removing the nut that holds the yoke on, in my 93 Dodge D350 12v, I could not remove the nut with a breaker bar by hand. I'm about to replace the brakes on my truck and this impact will be great for removing lugnuts and separating the dually front hubs from the brake rotors. I can't speak for its longevity. I hope it lasts a lifetime of shade tree/ weekend gravel crawling fixing my old vehicles that I love. I couldn't see spending $300+ for a Milwaukee Big Boy impact + the $ for the proper battery to run it. ... show more
