We bought this to warm up a small pool for the kids. It will heat up a 5 gal bucket very fast but it will take some time with larger volume. We keep it plugged in while we were around during the day. It also comes withna nice thermometer!

It’s a pretty cool concept. I wanted to use it for warm/hot water for our camping kitchen. The only unfortunate thing is — which is why I didn’t give it 5 stars — was it would’ve taken a half hour (to reach 106 F) and exhaust 30% of my 3K solar generator (when the generator had to be used for other purposes as well). Best case scenario would’ve been a generator dedicated solely for that. And the digital thermometer is a nice addition. But it works.

Oh, it works alrighty. WAY TOO WELL. The product liability lawsuits will be brief, but epic. These would go the way of Lawn Darts, if the Consumer Products Safety Commission still had teeth. Instructions: if not fully immersed "it could start a fire." Plugging in = "on." Unplug (still firey hot) before removing from water, but can wickedly burn. No temp limit or auto turn off. No non heating safety cage to protect from accidental contact with heating element. Instructions: 20-25 minutes in 5 gallons for 104 degrees. 12 minutes: 5 gallons at 137 degrees. The cord was melty hot. Need somewhere to put the still ridiculously hot heating element when you remove it from the water source: Perhaps Nomex? Wait for dog, child, curious person to touch it> a 4th degree burn requiring skin grafts. Good grief! save yourselves people

This item is a quandry, it works but maybe too good. You FOR SURE need a dedicated outlet preferable a 20A one. This thing really sucks the juice...it heats fairly fast and can heat to a temperature way hotter than you need. I can see using it for camping as the generator would struggle to keep this thing going. its a very compact size for its performance but safety is a real concern with it. Left unattended is a big no-no as I can see it causing a fire as the plug get fairly hot. I really cant recommend this for campers etc. Now I am using it to head a water bath for cleaning parts with a mixture that needs to be about 150 degrees plus to work good. It does it albeit a little slow since im using a 5+ gallon container. This is one of those "hook up and adjust for maximum smoke" devices...Don't leave it!! I did put a thermostatic timer on it that cycles the unit as to not overheat the plug and unit itself but that's something I did and I'm much "handier" than most folks and can do just about anything with my bailing wire and farm education...Genes 2 cents!

I requested the portable electric immersion water heater by KRIKLE for my koi. There are times, unfortunately, I may have a sick koi and need to move it over to the emergency tank. When a sick fish is under treatment, it is important to have the water a bit warmer. This is when these immersion water heaters come in handy. First off, these aren't something you plug in and leave alone. They are meant to heat water to the degree you want them to. This is why they have included a large screen thermometer. They have to be fully submerged. Yes, there are no hangers or suction cups because these heaters aren't meant to stay in the water. There is no on and off switch. I do believe some people who have reviewed them are not aware of how these work. They heat your water, and you take them out when the desired temperature is met. You then place them in another bucket of water (unplugged) to let the heater cool down. Once cooled down, it can be stored away for the next time. Made of stainless steel Premium Rust-Resistant Build. Everything included: 1 x water heater electric, 1 x digital thermometer, 1 x stainless steel cleaning ball, 1 x user manual. I would recommend. Durable. Versatile. Affordable.
