  • Heats Water Fast for Camping and Home
Color: Black
Tried this immersion heater as soon as I got it. Heated my bucket of water quickly and the LCD thermometer is clear to read. Great for camping or heating bath water at home!

  • It works
Color: Black
This device heated a 5 gallon pain of water to 120 in about 10 minutes.

  • Love the concept
Color: Black
It’s a pretty cool concept. I wanted to use it for warm/hot water for our camping kitchen. The only unfortunate thing is — which is why I didn’t give it 5 stars — was it would’ve taken a half hour (to reach 106 F) and exhaust 30% of my 3K solar generator (when the generator had to be used for other purposes as well). Best case scenario would’ve been a generator dedicated solely for that. And the digital thermometer is a nice addition. But it works. ... show more

  • Warms Quickly
Color: Black
So cool. Works so well I bought two. This is a must if you are primitive camping. I cheat and have a portable generator but this wand warms up our 5 gallons bucket in no time.

  • Works Way Better Than Expected
Color: Black
So, just to be clear- I know that this is not what it's for, but I did what I did and it worked so is it really a bad thing? It's good marketing at the very least. First, I really like this one. We have two and this is definitely the one I'd prefer to reach for if I need one. I appreciate the safety mechanisms and the thermometer for sure, and the price on it isn't bad. We had a 15 foot round by 52 inch deep pool that was frigidly cold still, and our daughter had asked if she could have a pool party this past weekend for her birthday. But... it was frigidly cold. Even my most cold-tolerant child couldn't handle it. And we didn't have (or have the resources with a birthday party coming up) a pool heater, so for the short term, I figured this coupled with another couldn't possibly hurt. We had the first one, a lower power one, in place first, and it was slow but it was managing to make a little difference. Once this one came in, we put it in the pool and ran it whenever someone was around to check on it for safety's sake. Y'all. Within 2 days, we had a nice, balmy 76 degrees. From just a little bit above freezing. I was baffled. I thought it might help encourage the warming up, but I never expected it to warm up that quickly. It was ready well in advance of the aforementioned birthday party and all had a blast. So yeah, it's not built for a 15 foot pool, but... it sure doesn't hurt either. ... show more

  • Fast, Reliable, and Perfect for Camping Needs
Color: Black
This 2000W immersion heater works exactly as advertised and has quickly become one of my must haves when camping. It heats water fast about 3 gallons takes under 8 minutes to get to a boil, which is incredibly convenient for cooking, cleaning, or making hot drinks at camp. It’s very easy to use just plug it in, submerge it, and let it do its thing. The build quality feels solid and durable, and it seems like it will hold up well with regular use. For the price, it’s a great value and performs better than expected. Highly recommend it for anyone who camps, RVs, or just needs a fast way to heat water. ... show more

  • Fast and effective, but I wish it had an on/off switch
Color: Black
We picked this up to warm water for a small soaking tub, and it definitely does the job well. It heats water quickly, much faster than we expected, and is simple to use once you understand the safety precautions. Just make sure the heating rod is fully submerged before plugging it in, because there's no built-in on/off switch. The unit turns on the moment it’s plugged in, so you need to have it positioned properly to avoid risk of burns or damage. The build quality feels solid, and it even comes with a little scouring pad to help clean off any residue after use. We've used it several times so far and haven’t noticed any wear or corrosion. Just a few notes for potential buyers: Not for plastic buckets or shallow containers. It gets very hot and needs depth and space to operate safely. No temperature control or auto shutoff. There’s an LCD readout so you can monitor, but you’ll need to unplug manually. Overall, if you’re using it in a safe setup like a metal tub or large enough bucket and just need reliable heating, this is a great option, especially for outdoor use or camping. But definitely read the instructions and follow the safety guidelines closely. ... show more

  • Fire hazard: It works so well it will burn the house, forest,... you.
Color: Black
Oh, it works alrighty. WAY TOO WELL. The product liability lawsuits will be brief, but epic. These would go the way of Lawn Darts, if the Consumer Products Safety Commission still had teeth. Instructions: if not fully immersed "it could start a fire." Plugging in = "on." Unplug (still firey hot) before removing from water, but can wickedly burn. No temp limit or auto turn off. No non heating safety cage to protect from accidental contact with heating element. Instructions: 20-25 minutes in 5 gallons for 104 degrees. 12 minutes: 5 gallons at 137 degrees. The cord was melty hot. Need somewhere to put the still ridiculously hot heating element when you remove it from the water source: Perhaps Nomex? Wait for dog, child, curious person to touch it> a 4th degree burn requiring skin grafts. Good grief! save yourselves people ... show more
