If you've ever spent what feels like an eternity trying to get into a locked car with keys sitting tauntingly inside, you'll understand this purchase. Just the other day, I wrestled for literally over an hour trying to help my mother-in-law get into her car after she locked her keys inside (again!). It was beyond frustrating. By the time we finally succeeded, I swore I needed a better solution ready for the inevitable next time. I ordered this kit right away. Having received it and looked over the tools, I'm already feeling immense relief. The kit seems comprehensive, with various reach tools, wedges, and everything that looks necessary to perform the job properly and quickly. The tools feel solid and well-made. Based on the components included and understanding how these tools work, I'm confident that what took me an hour of desperate fiddling last time will likely be a 30-second job with this kit. An Ok product, very similar to others on the market. its cheap yes but does a job. The main rods do have a flaw though.. being as it is screwed together, if you need to twist the tool you might get lucky one way on one side of a car. if you had to go to the other side to do the same job you will start to unscrew portions of the rods. you can mediate this with Loctite or maybe some tape but isn't full proof. Another piece of advice is if your car is more or less "modern"(we were working on a 2004 GMC) and everything is electronically controlled, and your battery is dead for example...good luck because no matter what the car wouldn't unlock. We were lucky that the rods were long enough to pull the hood latch to gain access to the battery to complete the job.

I wasn't looking to spend a ton of money on a set like this as I'm not a professional and this is more of an emergency thing good to have on hand. For the price and what it comes with it seems great seems relatively durable at least durable enough for the job easy to use maybe just watch a tutorial on YouTube or something. I gave it a try on my vehicle and I did scratch up the inside of my door jam a touch but that's my own fault. Worked as it should hopefully I never have to use it for real.
