I'd seen this tool for some time but did not want to buy one until I had to remove and install a bunch of original hose clamps. What settled it for me was when i used my usual pliers to install a clamp on a radiator hose. As I compressed the clamp with the pliers and used my other hand to slide the clamp down to position the pliers slipped off the ears of the clamp and the clamp snapped closed. With my fingers still on the clamp the snapping action really hurt my fingers. I bought the tool, used it half a dozen times and it has worked perfectly. ... show more

Got this for my husband. He said it is a solid tool. Very easy to use. You can easily squeeze it with one hand, which leaves the other hand free to do what needs to be done. These clamp pliers have a great grip and over all size is great.
