Definitely useful for hard to reach clamps. I struggled for days before buying this and was able to remove clamps within minutes. The quality and durability is great, especially for the cost. I would recommend using this to any mechanic!

I would have returned this if I could have found the box it came in. The locking mechanism only worked when it was not used on a hose clamp. And you had to squeeze harder then the ones without the cable to get it open the clamps as well. It did get into tight areas but most of the time I could also basicly use a pair of long reach pliers to do the same job except for one time. If the locking mechanism worked like it should have then it would have a better rating but having to constantly hold the pliers and try to move the clamp often made a one person job a two person job, not ideal. ... show more

Worked good for my application of getting a hose off the back of the engine of a Infiniti g37 but quality I don’t know how long they will actually last with the stuff I do everyday the metal is super soft for the gear part .
