GEARWRENCH 85989 17-Piece XL GearBox Double Box End metric ratcheting wrench set consists of 1 of each 8mm, 9mm, 10mm, 11mm, 12mm, 13mm, 14mm, 15mm, 16mm, 17mm, 18mm, 19mm, 20mm, 21mm, 22mm, 24mm, and 25mm XL GearBox ratcheting wrenches. Ratcheting box end needs as little as 5-Degree to move the fastener as opposed to 30-Degree for standard box end wrenches. The standard box end combined with the long pattern length gives this wrench excellent torque capabilities to break a stubborn, rusted fastener. The ratcheting box end then makes the loosening or tightening of the fastener fast and safe. The box end features improved strength from GearWrench Surface Drive technology and at the same time, reduces fastener rounding. These double box end ratcheting wrenches are made from premium alloy steel for a precision, long lasting tool. The set comes packed in a blow molded tray that fits nicely in your tool box.

I use these all the time! I work as a diesel tech and that little bit of extra leverage is a lifesaver. The ratcheting mechanism is not the greatest ever.     • Great wrench, some minor things to be aware of

First off I love these wrenches, the extra length really helps with torque and reaching into places I could not before. They seem to be decently made but there are some concerns. First off looking at the Ratcheting portion I can see that some are not perfectly centered and may be thinner at end more than another. Another concern is that the gearing feels much different from wrench to wrench, one has little back drag while another is tight, one has a very harsh ratchet and another quite smooth and even quiet. I am not sure if this will cause durability concerns in the future but it's something to know and hopefully something for gearwrench to work on. I will be using these wrenches where I work on typical maintenance between five cars and I think they will hold up just fine for that. If you are looking for a professional tool I think that these inconsistencies may cause some headache. ... show more
