    • A SUPERIOR Bluetooth speaker in every way!
I have had other bluetooth speakers and most all of them suffered from one or more fatal flaws that this one doesn't. This is the first one that I actually don't have anything to complain about. It's just that good. Impressive right out of the box!! Unboxing it was exquisite! Pure metal! While the control dials are plastic, the rest is metal, and heavy!! Directions were clear and concise and I was paired and listening in under 5 minutes enjoying the awesome sound with rich deep bass. Back to the flaws of the others. Like I said, most other bluetooth speakers had one or more, in my opinion, fatal flaws. A great lot of them were plastic. Not good because that means fragility. An accidental drop or two off the workbench, desk, or tailgate and they're toast. More just didn't measure up in terms of sound quality, especially in terms of rich deep base, it's just as simple as that, at least for me. More had issues with loudness. I'm outside working, perhaps with power tools, I need a speaker that can be heard above that din of noise. THIS does that in spades!! Others were too complicated or needed apps. Seriously? Another app just for sound? But some required an app, another pitfall in my opinion, as most of the apps didn't really offer any added benefit. I also LOVE the startup/power on and power off sounds! I know some reviewers have objected to them, personally, I think they're being maybe a bit too sensitive. I mean it's a speaker, you're going to get upset that it makes a sound you don't particularly like? I LOVE heavy metal music! What goes best with head banging heavy metal music? Other heavy metal, like guns! It also lets you know definitively that you've powered on or off the unit. No LED that's hard to tell if it's on or off in direct sunlight. So, if I had to pick one thing negative about this, I'd have to say that it doesn't appear to be waterproof, but it does appear to be resistant. But who works or plays outside when it's raining? I was caught in a sudden rain and the speaker DID get a bit wet. I just dried it off the best I could and let it sit for an hour or two out of an abundance of caution. I powered it on, got that AWESOME startup sound, and I was back in business!! So, with all that being said, I think you can safely assume what I'm going to say next. I am giving this an absolute and unequivocal 5 star review/recommendation. ROCK ON!! A+++++ ... show more

The GOCKERA mechanical bluetooth speaker jumped out at me right away, and upon receiving it, I knew I made a solid choice. The speaker housing is made of plastic and actual metal! This speaker has a few different Bluetooth settings like "low latency mode", they all seem to function as described, the speaker has 3 different areas that light up and they have some adjustments you can make, the sound is good, and the bass is adequate but not great (but I'm a bass junkie). The summation of all the features and details combine into a portable speaker that's a conversion starter and looks like something you might see out of Halo (hence it's placement amongst my Halo related items). I recommend this item, but the 4 stars is because of some connectivity issues that occur sometimes, but it could be as a result of my phone. Crafted from metal with a mechanical aesthetic, this speaker exudes a certain robustness and style that’s rare in portable speakers. It connected seamlessly to my iPhone via Bluetooth, and within moments, I was treated to an audio performance that exceeded my expectations. The sound quality was remarkably clear and vibrant, challenging my initial skepticism. I was definitely able to get it to distort at Lou volumes and depending on the music that you play but overall the quality was quite shocking. The speaker is not just about audio; it’s also a visual treat. It features five distinct flashing light designs that can be customized and even change with the rhythm of the music, adding a cool, immersive element to the listening experience. Whether for music enjoyment or gaming, the dynamic lighting enhances the overall experience. Despite its many strengths, I noted a couple of minor drawbacks. The power button, located where one might naturally grip the speaker, can be too easily pressed by accident. Also, the speaker announces its various modes with a range of sounds and voices, which, while unique, might not appeal to everyone.
