Just returned from a Cruise/Excursions while using this for my mom. It's extremely light weight and easy to fold (literally, if you unclip the sides and push forward from the back of the chair, it collapses) so you don't have to force it to close it, and you don't have to spend a ton of time trying to figure it out. My Mom who stands at 4'6'' and weighs less than 150 lbs. fit perfectly on the chair and was really comfortable. It fits perfectly through the door of a cruise ship, and we used it on two excursions on bumpy old roads, etc. It worked, but I can see where I'd like to think about changing the tires on it to more of an all-terrain (bicycle type) tire just for comfort and a more durable use. The brake on it is easy to use, by squeezing the handles, the release is super easy with the pull button. My Mother is not confined to a wheelchair, she just has mobility issues and uses a walker, having this chair was a lifesaver and she was able to enjoy the entire cruise and excursions with ease. This portable wheelchair was very functional, heavy duty and well made. It made traveling with it virtually hassle free. I purchased this to take my mom on a trip to Paris and Italy. It worked well on almost all of the different surfaces and was very easy to maneuver. It fit on almost all of the narrow sidewalks, in the museums, churches, restaurants and stores. It even fit in most of the very small elevators (lifts). Because it is very lightweight, it was not difficult to push my mom around Venice up and down the ramps. Its small size made it easy to load on to taxis and trains. It fit very easily in the luggage rack on the trains all over Italy. The wheelchair came back in one piece and is ready for more action. Note: I purchased the wheelchair with the bigger wheels which I think made it easier to push on the different surfaces especially on the uneven cobblestone streets. ... show more

We bought this chair as it has larger wheels and is more easy to use on uneven surfaces like door thresholds and even cobblestone streets when traveling say in Europe. The frame is sturdy and it has a seat belt. The footrest can be a bit awkward when you are folding or opening the chair, but manageable. The brake mechanism is a bit difficult to use when you try to also use this chair as a rollator. Not what it was designed for, but we were hoping for the dual use. The carrying bag was a plus when making the purchase decision, but the zipper is of such low quality that the bag was worthless after a single airline trip. A better product than the dual use rollator/transport chairs, but not without some flaws. ... show more

    • Solid and very easy to push around
Size: Large 12 Inch Back Wheels
Be sure to remove all the plastic wrapping on the wheels, arm handles, and around the brake cables. Brake is a bit stiff to get into locked position the first time, but that’s a good thing. Love the rear foot pedals that make it easy to hop a curb. Reasonably comfortable seat, but you may want a cushion if your limited mobility person is going to be in it for long periods of time. Very smooth rolling and turning - can turn within its own width. Narrow enough to fit through most standard doors. Note that it looks like the same item is available on Amazon for about $30 less. https://www.amazon.com/JmeiYyu-Transport-Wheelchairs-Wheelchair-Ultra-Light/dp/B097XY3JZP/, but I’m happy with this one. I’ll update this review after we’ve had a chance to use it for a couple of months, but it looks like it’s built to last. Update: Forgot to mention that this includes a sturdy bag to protect the chair if you need to check it as baggage. Also, it’s very easy to push someone weighing 120 lbs or less, but I did try it out with one of our children who weighs significantly more and is broader in the hips, and it’s a tight fit and much more work to push. Still perfect for our needs. Update 2: After two weeks of continuous use, we're still extremely happy with this chair. It's so easy to push around that my limited mobility person also uses it as a walker. One caution is avoid trying to push the chair across the side of a hill or any incline because with a person in it, it wants to tip to the downhill side.
