Purchased cause I cannot run our central unit in the house as the system leaks and is in the attic so bought this. Solid unit that was easy to move seems like it will last YEARS. Setup was pretty straightforward and had it up and running in about 30 minutes. House was 80 degrees with humidity and it quickly cooled it down to 75 with almost no humidity in an hour. House is roughly 1200 square feet and is a rancher. No it doesn't work like a central unit but I have set up in living room which is central in the house and it makes the home absolutely more comfortable. Bedrooms were still a little muggy but comfortable still. High was 95 yesterday but when I got home after work the house was 75 with no humidity. We've had only occasionally hot and humid days but this will make it easier to make it through those days. Although it was running almost 24 hours straight, I have yet to have to dump the water tank and hopefully I can do that on my own as a 45 year old woman. ... show more

Delivered one day earlier and early morning. Assembly was quite easy it takes about 15 minutes. The air conditioning works good. Cool down my room fast. The noise is not quite loud considering it is portable air conditioning. Specially sleeping mode is more quiet.     • Very hard to put into smaller window
So this is a day one of use review. I might update later if it goes horrible on me. It was extremely difficult to get set up with my smaller window and required a LOT of ducktape to keep the vent attached to the window seal. After I cut the adjustible locker into a smaller piece so I can get it to fit and ducktaped the seal. I plugged it in and it works great so far. It really does just start pumping cool air out quickly. I will give it more time to see if It can cool the room down. if so then its perfect. ... show more
