I just got it yesterday to replace a much older portable AC that did not have the BTU's I needed for my 700 sq ft 1 bedroom apartment. Window units are not allowed in my building. Right away I felt the air circulation across the hall from the living room into my kitchen which never cooled with my older 12000 BTU unit. This unit's 16000 BTU is the highest I could find in a portable AC and I could not find higher than 12000 BTU in any local store. Noise is typical of any other AC I've had over the years. I love the smaller scale of this unit which fits better in my tight space and yet provides more cooling power than my older unit. This does have a remote and option to use an app which I did not use. One important thing to note is that the unit has a colored LED light right on the front to display which mode is in use. I don't know if this can be turned off at night for sleeping since I don't have it in my bedroom. The manual had errors/unclear translation that wasted my time. 1. When I added batteries to the remote I accidentally pushed a button that changed the temp from fahrenheit to celsius and didn't know it. The manual says to hit the temp up and down buttons together on the display and it will change. I wasted time and possibly damaged the controls for ten minutes until I found the C/F button on the remote to change it back. 2. A second manual issue is describing the swing function. The swing on my older unit adjusted the external louvers up and down to adjust airflow. This new unit has internal louvers that move the air side to side like a fan. This is a nice bonus feature but it was not described well in the manual and left me confused. The louvers on the front of the unit need to be adjusted up and down by hand. Aside from that, I think this is the best residential portable AC available available. I hope it lasts for many years to come.

It’s either not 16,000 btu, I was sent the wrong model or else I got a defective unit. I bought this portable AC to replace a 10,000 btu unit that is 10 years old. After taking the time to uninstall the old one and install the new unit, it doesn’t work properly. I’m trying to cool a 400 square foot basement which the old unit did just fine to a point. This new AC won’t cool the area to below 76 degrees. The old one would at least cool it to below 73 degrees. I’ve reviewed and followed all directions but it’s just not what is advertised. I’m in the process of returning it. The box it came in was pretty damaged in shipping so I guess there’s always a possibility that the unit was damaged internally. I don’t see any evidence of mishandling from the outside though. I just hope it’s not a hassle to return and get a refund. Good luck to anyone who buys this particular AC.

I recently bought this portable air conditioner and I’m very happy with how it works. It cools the room quickly, even when the weather is very hot. The setup was simple and I didn’t need any special tools to get it running. It also runs quietly, which is great when I am working, studying, or sleeping. The remote control is easy to use and lets me change the temperature or mode without getting up. I like the way it looks because it is not too big and fits nicely in the corner of my room. It does not make the space look crowded. One thing I really like is the water tank. It helps keep the air from getting too dry, and the room feels more fresh and comfortable. The air feels cool but not too sharp, which I enjoy. I have used other air conditioners before, but this one feels more reliable. It does not leak or make loud noises like some other units I have tried. Overall, I think this was a great buy. It makes a big difference during the summer and helps me stay cool and relaxed. I’ve only been using this portable AC for a few days, and I’m already thrilled. My HOA made me take down my window unit, so I needed a fast alternative and this did the job perfectly. The 16,000 BTU cooling performance is impressive; it cools my office quickly, even during the hottest part of the day. I also appreciate how quiet it is—it doesn’t distract me while I work or take calls. The app and remote are super convenient, and the 24-hour timer lets me set it and forget it. The built-in dehumidifier has noticeably improved the air quality too. The water full protection feature is a nice bonus for hassle-free use. The media could not be loaded. If I could give no stars, I would. This unit leaked water onto my floor, almost from the moment it was turned on. We thought it had somehow been put on dehumidify and the plug wasn't in correctly, so we adjusted everything and gave it a second try. When I came home from work the next morning, there was a large puddle spreading across my living room again. There was water dripping from both the exhaust hose and the bottom of the unit, which caused water damage to my flooring. This unit was packed up and sent back today. We once again drained all the water from it before boxing it up, and the bottom of the box was damp when we returned it.
