My last popsocket was held on by 4 tabs of tough rubber. With use, one of the rubber pieces broke off, leaving 3, and increasing the wear on the remaining 3. Then another broke, and it was utterly unusable. This popsocket is held on by plastic and pressure. It's easy to take off, but you can only take it off when the socket is collapsed, then by pressing in and turning exactly a quarter turn. Basically, it is almost impossible to remove by accident. When the socket is not collapsed, you can twist the head all you want (and it's rather fun) and it is impossible to take off, because the pressure to remove it must be placed in the center of the socket using the head. At times, I find myself spinning my phone like a fidget spinner, because I have full confidence that the base of the socket sticks well to the phone, and the uncollapsed socket can't be removed from the base. I showed my friend, and she was excited because the reason she stopped using a popsocket is because it was difficult to get her phone in her pocket, due to the extra width and lip of the socket. Now she can remove the head to put the phone in her pocket, and replace the head again when she desires. It is easy to remove and replace the head, but it must be on purpose! ... show more

I had a PopSocket for three years before the adhesive gave up and wouldn't stick anymore. This PopSocket was purchased to replace the old one. I really like that all the new PopSockets are interchangeable (c'mon girls-what's not to love about lip gloss that's always with you?). A few reviews said it wouldn't stick to soft/silicone cases but I ordered it anyway, and am so glad I did. I have a Samsung Galaxy S9 with an OtterBox case; the outer case is a floppy, either rubber or silicone (not sure which) but the adhesive sticks with the determination of superglue. I used an alcohol prep pad to thoroughly clean the area before I stuck it on, that might be why it sticks so well. I'm a bit clumsy and used to drop my phone frequently, and the PopSocket has cut way back on me dropping my poor phone. It's perfect for propping your phone up to watch a video or show, or even to read a book or follow a recipe. My whole family uses and loves PopSockets. I highly recommend this product. ... show more

It works fine and sticks well. I’m happy with it for the most part but the colors are off compared to the pic. Mine came with lighter colors and they are a lot more pink than what’s in the picture. Not a big deal cause it works fine.

Great adhesion. Durable. I was hesitant to buy a PopSocket for a long time, feeling that they were not very useful, but this is great for watching movies/youtube on my phone wherever I am in the house. Love it. I really like the design and colors of this product.

This is my second popsocket. The first lasted 3-4 years and was subjected to heavy daily use. I attach them to my tablet, which I use during appointments for my work. It makes it much easier to record data or scroll through the records I'm accessing while standing or moving around. I was initially frustrated that it wasn't the kind where you can swap the plate covers, but it is actually so much better than those, because the plate isn't constantly falling off when I'm fiddling with it.
