The media could not be loaded. I’ve been using this mic for my virtual lessons. It works great! It really helps to hone in on just my voice and not really picking up extra sounds. I normally turn off the A/C before I record but it was so hot under those lights, I guess I forgot to the other day. When I finished recording 30 minutes worth of solar system lessons, I realized my mistake. I was terrified to play it back because I didn’t want to hear the whirring and have to do it over. Comes with the mic (obviously) which has a 16’ cable, two lapel clips, five windscreens (mic covers - 2 black, 1 orange, 1 red, and 1 blue) and a three-segment adaptor (for use in laptops and computers). The mic cable has a four-segment connector for use in phones and tablets. Audio capture is excellent across all frequencies (i.e., it captures a the full range of sound from your voice) in a quiet environment and it performed extremely well in a noisy environment (next to a loud air scrubber) when it was able to clearly capture my voice with minimal noise capture (although, obviously, the background noise was still there but it didn’t overpower the vocals). I even sung into the mic and I would recommend this for singing (at a pinch) as it performed better than the standard mic-in-your-phone-headphone-cable did. My third test was outside using my phone as a recorder and dictating a few lines from a book. On the recording, I could definitely tell it was recorded outside (birds, traffic, etc.) but my voice was captured clearly. I also used this mic for some zoom calls and my colleagues reported that my sound was better when compared to using my laptop’s mic (as I usually did). Oh, and there also wasn’t any fizz or crackle when connecting the mic and the connections felt firm. Overall, it’s a pretty impressive piece of kit for $13 and would thoroughly recommend it if you’re in the market for a lavalier mic. ... show more

    • A great Lavalier Mic
I first used the POP microphone through my HP laptop to record several videos and the volume and tone was very good. The microphone worked both up next to my mouth, and it also worked very well down like connected to my shirt collar. I used the microphone to record on my IPHone X and it worked very well. I also connected POP microphone to my GoPro Hero 7 Black through it's microphone adaptor and it had near the same quality sound that my Giant Squid microphone produces. I did not use it while riding my motorcycle to see how it did with wind, but I am thinking that it would work very well. The POP microphone seems to be made very well. For the price, this is a 5 star product!!! Audio is much better than phone mic. Overall, I strongly recommend this for podcasts, new YouTubers, or small budget videographers. Lapel mics are great because they pick up consistent audio and allows you to use your hands and you don’t have to worry about the audio getting messed up much. This is a great value. They work great. I have a $200 condenser mic I bought a few years ago. It is almost as good of audio as that mic. So for 9.99 you can’t beat that ... show more

UPDATE!!!-- November 11,2020........PopVoice reached out to me a couple days after posting this review, by responding to it, asking for some info about what model i bought and what i was trying to connect the microphone to. I provided it, and i haven't heard from them since!!..........I wonder if anyone else had this experience with them? It really doesn't look good for this company............Throroughly disappointed!!!! I purchased this microphone for my wife, who's a teacher, to use while making supplemental videos for her lessons for her students. Imagine the disappointment after trying everything to get this to work, but to no avail. I reached out to Pop Voice, via their support section on their website, but never got a response.     • Was great for awhile
I am glad I waited to write a review because I would have given this 5 stars. I purchased this in September. I am a teacher and have to teach both students online and in class at the same time. My online students couldn't hear me when I was drawing on the smartboard because the laptop mic wasn't in front of me. This solved all of my problems. I thought I would have to wear it so I was grateful for the long cord but the students could hear me from this mic if I left it by the laptop. Fast forward 5 great weeks of using it, and now all my students hear is static. So disappointing. I had to look for a whole new method of connecting with the students. This mic was great but lasted way too short. Also, it ended up setting up to my work HP laptop no problem, but I could never get it to work with my home HP. ... show more

So far so good! I bought this to use with my Samsung S9+ to record videos for a video project I'm working on. I also bought an adapter after reading as much as I could about this product (more or less it said I'd probably need one to connect with my phone), and it turns out the normal end of the mic cable plugs directly into my phone! Tested the sound quality near and far on my phone's camera, as well as on my Snapchat and I am impressed! I tried whispering and the audio was still clear! So far so good.
