After using this night vision goggle for a few hunting trips, I was surprised at how clear the night footage was. The goggle is fairly well built, but not the most high end finish. The screen is fairly bright and quite clear. The adjustments for the goggles are quite simple to manipulate. It can adjust the amount of IR, the magnification and a few other settings. Took me awhile to learn how to use all the features of these binoculars, but now it's hard to put it down. With the 8X digital zoom, I can bring anything on our 6 acre property into clear view, even at night. We live in a rural area and get lots of nocturnal visitors around the barn. There is one owl that I have been anxious to see, and I finally saw it last night! These binoculars have 6 button controls which take a while to get familiar with, especially in the dark. It helps to learn all the functions during daylight hours so you don't hit the wrong one at night. There is also a built-in nut on the underside of the binoculars for attaching them to a tripod. With full HD 12 megapixel Picture, 1080P Video, and a 2.4-inch screen, it can take nice, clear pictures and store them on the 32GB memory card provided with it. It projects an infrared beam which "illuminates" the objects for the optical side to detect and display on the screen, making them visible to the eye in the dark. All-in-all, these night vision binoculars work well, can capture high quality pictures or video in daylight or dark. The set also includes a video/photo capture and storage card, carrying strap, recharge cord for the built-in battery, a microfiber cloth for cleaning the lenses and screen, and an 18-page detailed manual for use. I got only the night vision device with the screen, not the pricier set with the headstrap and individual eyepieces. And for the price, this is a really good infrared illuminating device. This unit sends out an infrared signal that is bounced back to the sensor, so it works in total darkness even if there is no other light source. This is a device where you definitely want to read the instructions first because the IR transmitter does not come on automatically. By default, the device works like "starlight" night vision trying to amplify any ambient light. But, with the press of a button, the IR transmitter comes on, and even areas in total darkness are visible. I tried this in my back yard, and the transmitter has 7 intensity settings, and on level 5, I was able to see into the trees fifty yards from my back porch. This unit comes with a micro-SD card for recording video (HD, FHD, or 4K) and capturing pictures (up to 12 megapixels) - though all the settings are configurable to maximize storage space. A great tool to have while camping, stargazing, or just being outdoors at night, particularly if you don't want to use a flashlight. Highly recommend. ... show more

So I’ve never used anything like this before, so understand a novice is talking. I’m not exactly sure how the technology works, looked up some explanations and I still couldn’t explain it back to you. BUT IT DOES. As per use, there are a few simple buttons to adjust modes and magnification. It’s used “backwards” as to how you would generally use binoculars (the separate cylinders you generally put your eyes through face out, you look at a pretty large LCD screen. If functions perfectly well for day use, but SHINES (if you’ll pardon it) IN VERY VERY LOW LIGHT. As a reference, I don’t just mean dusk, I mean darkness that you wouldn’t be able to navigate in. It displays a clear image in what is functionally dead of night black. This I wasn’t expecting…. The construction is rugged and seems like it’ll stand up to a lot of damage if you need it in the woods or some nighttime excursion. It includes Hi-Def PHOTO & VIDEO CAPTURE, and it has a SLOT FOR A MINI-SD CARD. The photo clarity is surprisingly crisp as well. The media could not be loaded. We are still learning how to use the Poothoh Night Vision Goggles, BUT we are really liking them so far. Really like that you can take photos or videos and it has a motion detection function. They came with a strap and a charging cord and we bought a SD card to store our photos & videos. The goggles are made well, they are lightweight and a ton of fun. Really excited to capture photos of the bears, deers, otters, cougars and other wildlife that frequent our back yard. ... show more
