This came w/o instructions of any help. Tried to find on web, no luck. Also power cord very short. Maybe fits when on lab table with power strip but for kids doing reports at dinning room table or desk in room, too short. Otherwise it's a microscope.     • Needs a better manual
The product seems nice coming from a beginner and will do what I need BUT it definitely needs a better manual that you do not need a microscope to real (no pun intended). I am new and want to make sure I am doing everything right, and have no manual that I can read. Secondly I need to download something to use the eyepiece that hooks up to the computer, but don't know which one to download. I know that the limited information says to search for a viewplaycap driver, but there are several. A response from the seller with specific info would be nice. ... show more

    • a little flimsy

It arrives in a foam filled zipped bag. pretty securely held in place. The product pages shows 2 eyepieces 10x and 16x while the package has a 35x. Looks like this is the Children's version they refer to. On my table it won't sit firm seams as if one leg is a mm shorter so it shake by the slights touch. also the sample tray moves around at will by a few mm which is not acceptable with higher magnification. Putting a thin wedge below one leg fixes the stability issue. Have not figured out how to stabilize the tray. After connecting the power supply you can chose top or bottom lighting and adjust the intensity. The phone adapter is way to lose to work with. For children this is a good entry level approach. For adults and professionals you need to go for more expensive devices. ... show more

    • My son loves this
My sons loves science so I thought this would be a great educational tool for him. He loves to explore when we go out to the parks. So it’s a bonus because it’s less than 4lbs and he can carry it with him. It’s also cool because it has a phone holder for him to use as well.

    • A great microscope for a young student
My three boys love using this thing to see all the microscopic things in water or grass or wherever else they're able to find something to stick under the scope.
