This came w/o instructions of any help. Tried to find on web, no luck. Also power cord very short. Maybe fits when on lab table with power strip but for kids doing reports at dinning room table or desk in room, too short. Otherwise it's a microscope. I originally bought the adult microscope that had a usb camera. The ad showed it came with (4) additional eye pieces, so I expected to receive four eye pieces (including a 50x shown in the description). But when I received it, it only included (2) eye pieces... Figuring the microscope had missing parts (and being unable to contact poothoh) I filed for a replacement through Amazon, which was promptly shipped. Upon receiving it, I discovered it had the same (2) eye pieces; a 10x and a 25x. Unless I'm missing something this renders this microscope only able to view at 40x - 1000x which is disappointing. On top of that the lack of documentation leaves me wondering If I got what I ordered. All that aside, as for the good: The microscope is a nice budget friendly professional grade microscope, with an adjustable LED light, mechanical stage and an adjustable iris diaphragm with basic quick start tools and sample slides. The bad: It was marketed as a 40x - 2000x microscope, but I can only achieve 40x -1000x, also there is a glaring lack of support even though poothoh claims "[Satisfactory after-sales service]". The power cord is extremely short and the one in my original order was very temperamental.. It needed to be bent just right before it worked (but worked fine on the replacement microscope). As for the phone holder it's made for a smaller phone and loose fitting. Loss of stars was mainly for false magnification claims, lack of "[Satisfactory after-sales service]", lack of product documentation and in the end this purchase left me wondering If I ended up buying a bait-n-switch microscope to save a buck! ... show more
