It's a kickboard. Made of heavyweight foam material. I got the size medium and measured it at about 11.5" wide,17.75" long and 1.125" thick. The material does compress a little when pressed into with my thumb, but I wouldn't expect any different from foam.

Our pool just opened for the summer so we got to test this out. It works great for my 3 and 4.5 year old girls. They can both easily use this. Their hands fit nicely and they don't have any issues holding on to the board. It's well made and floats nicely.

Poolmaster Kickboard Swim Trainer and Swim Aid It is still too cold to use this in the pool even here in SoCal. However, looking at it, it looks like a sturdy kickboard that will support my 8-year-old grandgirl. There are cutout hand holes so she can hold on to the sides of the board or put her hands through the holes. I think this will be a great addition to our pool toys. ... show more
