Great appearance, love the essential oil option and how quiet it is, but I’m unsure of the accuracy. I compared to my automatic Bogata air purifier that displays the air quality number. I had the Bogata on at the same time as this one (directly next to each) while there was lingering smoke in the area. The Bogata immediately picked up on the smoke with its red-ozone color and automatic switch to high power where this one did not power to high but remained on the low setting. This is my third home air purifier. My other two are twice the size of the Pomoron purifier but can only handle the square footage that is half of what the Pomoron can process. I liked that the unit comes with a sensor that can tell the air quality. I placed it next to a dedicated device that I use and confirmed purifiers lower settings against the actual PPM count for air quality. As you can see from my included photos, I've placed the two side by side and feel confident that the units generally agree with the air quality that they sense. I set up the Pomoron in automatic mode and let it determine the air quality and setting. When first plugged in, it starts on "L" or low. You can manually change the to a higher speed (which uses more electricity) or let the Pomoron automatic mode determine the speed. When I set it to automatic, the Pomoron dropped to a barely perceptible fan speed below "L" which was appropriate as my air quality sensor recorded a very low level of pollutants indicating a superior air quality level. You can see the blue light on the photo of the Pomoron which also indicated a very good air quality level. You can get details of the Pomoron purifier and filter from the product information page so there isn't much need for me to repeat it again here. I'm just comforted to know that the product is matching my independent air quality readings. It would be nice if the Pomoron could actually give me the PPM rating as well but I can accept the overall color rating on the front of the purifier of blue for very good, green for good, yellow for moderate, and red for bad. FYI, if you buy the Pomoron, don't forget to open the bottom of the purifier, take out the filter, and remove the plastic bag from it. Likewise, if you store the purifier for periods of time or don't use it, you'll want to put a plastic bag back on it to protect the filter from degradation. I'm also going to try out the feature of using essential oils with the unit. There has been some research indicating that exposure to a variety of sensory smells actually keeps some of the brain cells stimulated and active. ... show more

Please note that you need to unwrap the filter inside before starting the unit. I looked online for replacement filters for future and they were a bit hard to find and are not noted in the manual. The description online does have a link to the replacement filter. I have not noticed that the automatic setting does any ramping up, just down, perhaps my house and studio air is not as bad as I figured since in both the fan just dropped to minimal setting and stayed there when set on Automatic. Running on high is loud. Not sure if it is fan noise, air noise, or motor noise, or a combination of them, but it is loud on high. Medium is not too bad, and low is very quiet. UV-C is effective in killing bacteria and even viruses, but that is dependent on dwell time. On low speed there is some dwell time, and the wide area that the air enters slows it down as it comes in, but mainly the UV in my opinion will keep the filter clean and sanitized on the inside where the light hits. UV-C bulbs used to only last about a year, but LED UV-C bulbs last far longer, so I am not sure if a replacement for these is necessary. One thought is to turn them off unless there is an illness in the home, then turn them on. Leaving them off longer to save life of the bulbs. So far I am pleased it has reduced odor in my studio where I do sublimation printing, which can have a strong odor. ... show more

We have a big family of seven people, and we also have two dogs and two cats. As a result, there's a lot of pet dander in our house, and it's always very dusty. Lately, I've been having frequent sneezing fits that I can't seem to control. So, I decided to order an air purifier. I've been considering getting one for a while, and when my dad mentioned that he ordered one, I thought it was a good time to give it a try. I ended up ordering three air purifiers and set them up in my office, living room, and master bedroom. So far, I've noticed a significant improvement in the air quality. The purifiers are efficient and do what they claim to do. Sometimes, when the sunlight shines just right, I can see the pet dander in the air being sucked into the purifier. The best part is that the purifiers are quiet and produce a smooth airflow that creates a slight white noise sound. They're also powerful enough to circulate through an entire room. I'd love to sit this in a room and forget about it for a few days. I have to turn it on every day. It's like it has it's own internal sleep timer that you can't shut off.
