I don't know why it is so hard to pick a lunch box. It really shouldn't be. But I have finally found one for a bookbag carrying student and at a reasonable price! I plan to buy a couple more to keep on the shelf for when this one falls apart, because no matter what you pay, they get gross and/or fail in some unrepairable way. This one is soft enough and shaped to jam into an already packed bookbag, but still has a little structure so it's not flimsy, yet still big enough for a decent sized lunch. It has a very smooth exterior zipper and a small zipper pocket for salt packets or mints or whatever on the inside. I've never found all that until now. YAY! This little lunch bag fits enough for a simple lunch. My son needed something flat to fit in his backpack when he takes lunch to college. It easily fits a flat ice pack, sandwich, bags of carrots, apples and a snack size bag of chips and a cheese stick. There's a mesh pocket inside that fits napkins. It can fit food containers of a certain size also. Can't fit a square container. See pic, square container with blue lid, that does not fit. ... show more

This seems to be nicely made and good quality. I took off one star because I specifically bought this due to the listed internal dimensions. My metal lunch box is 8” x 6”, so I assumed it would fit inside this case with a small gap at the end for some extras. The internal width of this product was listed as a little over 6”, but I can barely squeeze my lunch box in, and the shape is distorted once I zip it closed. Because it is stretching the width so much, there is no additional space at the end. The finishing is great and slick and looks exactly like the picture. But having bought this because it was the exact size I needed, I am disappointed that it is simply smaller than advertised. The description and picture specify the outside dimensions to be 3.2"H x 6.4"W x 10"L. In reality, it is much closer to 3.2"H x 6"W x 9.25"L for the outside, even with some fair leeway (see pictures) and potential instrument error. I stuffed it with paper before measuring, careful not to distort it. Not an enormous difference, but I had a very specific need use for it. If it still works for you, go for it. Otherwise, you might be acquiring an insulated makeup bag. I have only had it for a day, so I cannot comment on other aspects. ... show more
