  • Bought (twice) “used - very good” but wait!
Color: Black
This product was brand new w an unopened hardware bag. The “black folding chair” feature was too complicated not something to look forward too. BUT I got a new polywood brand piece for almost 1/2 the cost. I feel it’s as comfortable and durable as any other polywood brandfurniture. Very happy w this purchase Update: got a second “used - very good” for $143.50 (currently $239 at polywood site) and it has to be brand new. Bag of hardware was not opened. I’m addicted to these deals! “Lime polywood foldable, used w missing fastness/hardware”: the description was kinda accurate. It was missing 2 screws as described. But there was plus and minus. The minus was the pre-set slats on the seat was obviously off. But I was able to reset/align them w a Philips head. The plus was that the product was obviously brand new. I bought this from Amazon resale for $128. Polywood lists it for $269. Bought the ss fasteners for $8. So w a little elbow grease and hunt for proper parts, I saved $133…. Good buy:). Can’t take stars off cause I saved so much ... show more

  • Polywood is Worth the Price
Color: Mahogany
Over the last 5 years, we have bought 4 Polywood Adirondack chairs for our back yard. At first, we couldn't justify spending $200 + for an outdoor chair but now we can. These chairs are made with composite Polywood material and provides UV protection. There is minimal assembly required. After 5 years exposed the backyard, our chairs still look great. At first, we bought them because they were foldable and we would be able to store them away from the elements but honestly, where we live in So. California, near the coast, there is no need. We brought two of our chairs to our vacation home in the desert area and they are holding up well there in the 100 degree heat. They don't have to be stored in windy weather because they're pretty heavy. Of all the patio furniture we've bought over the years, these Polywood Adirondack chairs are the best investment we've ever made! ... show more

  • LOVE LOVE These Adirondack Chairs from Polywood
Color: Pacific Blue
There's nothing like a nice comfy Adirondack Chair in your yard, especially with the type of view we're more than fortunate enough to have. We went on a mission to find quality chairs, which wouldn't be difficult to put together, were well made, and would stand up to the hot, humid sun in Florida. Reading review after review, some chairs appeared nice enough, until you read how difficult and time consuming they were to put together. The reviews for these chairs from Polywood, were uniformly excellent. Since we're not exactly handy, easy to put together was important. So we took the plunge and ordered two. They came today and to say we're VERY pleased is an understatement. They are for the most part, already put together. All you have to do is put them in the right position, install two Polywood pieces and and a bolt on each arm, tighten and enjoy. It took two of us no more than 5 minutes per chair. It simply can't get any simpler. These chairs are foldable, but you'd have to do in reverse what you did to put them together, so not likely something we'd do very often anyway. We love the vibrant color and Polywood says the chairs are weatherproof, won't splinter, crack, chip, peel, or rot when exposed to the elements. They may not be the least expensive Adirondack chairs you can buy and they're certainly not the most expensive either. For us, they were the quality we wanted, at a reasonable price, incredibly easy to put together and should last the test of time. It doesn't get better than this, no it doesn't! ... show more

  • Polywood is the best idea since sliced bread
Color: Slate Grey
Ok ... I have bought numerous outdoor patio furniture over the years. Trust me!!!! it is not worth it. Buy polywood or Trex!!! It is as Spock says "The only logical conclusion" It is the only outdoor furniture that are truly investing in over your lifetime. It is UPS indestrustible (and that is saying alot!!!) It would withstand a nuclar explosion, fire rain or tornado. It is honestly an investment. You can sell it after 10 years and it will still look brand new. I live in Colorado, and was not using my conventional patio furniture, because I had to store it, bring it out and put it back. Polywood (or Trex) is a no brainer! set it up and leave it outside forever. I think Polywood makes Trex furniture, which seems like a better design, but also is a little more expensive. I think that the Andirondack chair is very uncomfortable without a cushon, so am bothered to read reviews tha expect it to feel as comfortable as chairs that use webbing. The secret to putting this puppy together is to assemble it upside down. The arms then align perfectly. It took me 30 to assemble only because i did it by myself, an because the construction is solid poly composite, i was not worried about damaging he chair, but rather have a piece fall over while assembling it and break something. The color seems to be a big issue with alot of people. I personally like the mix and match look. All of the hardware is USA grade A and all bolts and are pre-tapped. I have so far purchased 8 or 9 pieces for my deck. I love the idea of never worrying about staining wood or havng to store the chair away for the winter. The only thing I will say is that like everything it will go up in price in years to come, so it would make sense to invest in one piece per year and that way you spread out cost. ... show more
