Several reviewers complained of it being white instead of the clear they ordered. While it comes out of the tube white, it turns clear after drying (about 24 hours in my case). Instructions say if if gets wet it will again turn white until it dries out again when it will revert to clear. So don't throw this out if it appears white. I spoke with Customer Service for Loctite today. Yes it comes out the tube white. The rep claims within 24 to 48 hours after application it will turn clear. He said it doesn't state that on the tube but it does turn clear. I never gave it a chance. Just threw it out when it came out white from the tube. ... show more

I ordered a 5.5-Fluid Ounce "clear" Loctite Tub and Tile Sealant and, to my surprise, it turned out to be "white" even though it was marked "clear" on the outside. I am forced to buy another 5.5-Fluid Ounce "clear" Tub and Tile Sealant other than Loctite brand at the local store. That being said, it makes my other order of 10-Fluid Ounce "white" Loctite Tub and Tile Sealant useless. I would like to request a return of the 10-Fluid Ounce one to the seller. ... show more

    • They need to say on the package that it goes on white and dries colorless.
I bought the CLEAR color. I wasted time on the phone with Loctite...waiting for a customer service rep. I bought this, the package says it is clear, but when I used it the color was white. Nowhere on the package does it say it dries colorless. It looked like regular white caulk. I called Loctite's company and waited on the phone for quite sometime for a rep to answer. Finally, the rep tells me it dries colorless. What? Why don't you put this on the stinking package? Sure enough, I go back to where I used it, and it did dry colorless.     • "Sealant may turn white if exposed to water again"
I used this product to seal the gap between our kitchen sink and the granite counter top. The sink is an under mount sink, so the gap between the granite and the sink is very small. The largest gap was about 1/8". I will start with this statement directly from the product PDF (search for PSS_SEAL_TT_tds.pdf) and I quote "Sealant may turn white if exposed to water again". What??? It's tub and Tile Sealant. It's going to get wet again. Every day it will get wet!!! IT'S TUB AND TILE SEALANT!!!!! You can't make this stuff up. This has got to be the most stupid product ever made . . . .may turn white again if it gets wet. . . If I wanted white, I would have purchased white. I wanted clear so bought clear. Did it say on the package that it turns white if it gets wet? That should be plastered all over the package. It's clear tub and tile sealant. In some places it never did get clear, but if it gets wet which it does almost every time we use the sink (even after it has cured for two weeks) it turned WHITE. Good Grief! DO NOT BUY!!!!!! We went out of town for 11 days after installing this junk product and it turned white again. See photo. The product label says nothing about this behavior but the full datasheet does. If you use your shower daily it will always look like a crappy cross between clear and white. Bought mine at a local brick and mortar store and will NEVER purchase another loctite caulk again. Love the original loctite for screws and some of their adhesives, but this stuff is junk. Might function well as caulk, but will look like crap. Now I have to spend a day to properly remove it and get something that stays clear. Note, I have used caulk in the past that turned clear, but have NEVER had this behavior. ... show more
