  • Odd issues...not sure how to fix them
Style: Standard Version Pattern: UC
I work from home and have tried a number of cheaper Bluetooth headsets that generally cost in the $50 range. Most work ok, but after about 6-months the battery starts to waffle. I finally took the plunge and got the uber-highend Plantronics version....Voyager UC....the experience was odd to say the least. I plugged in the included dongle and it came alive right away. But this is where the "oddness" came in, Plantronics said to not use computer bluetooth, but to use thier dongle. The sound qaulity was aweful regardless of what application I was using. The MS Teams experience was THE WORST!!! Laggy voice, dropped audio, you name it. I went ahead and downloaded the Plantronics apps for Windows (there are two that work), updated the firmware and tried again. Things did not improve. Thinking there might be a Windows issue, I reinstalled Windows and tried again. No improvement. I then plugged the dongle into a 10 year Dell laptop (intel CPU) and it seemed to work fine. My main work machine is an AMD Ryzen 9 with a ton of RAM and all SSD storage. No matter what I did, the headset did not work well at all...until...I paired it with a generic bluetooth dongle that I bought on Amazon. So far it has been rock solid, although there is a bit of quirkiness, but by far much much improved in all aspects. The only reason I am returning it, is because the battery only lasts about 4 hours even with all the options turned to the lowest settings (via the Plantronics app). ... show more

  • Exactly what I needed and more
Style: Standard Version Pattern: UC
Bought for con calls. Flawless since day 1. Charges well in base. Never had to even think about battery life. I use it all day on calls and have never noticed it - meaning never uncomfortable. Noise canceling works well - my dogs bark and people say they don’t hear it. Here’s the clincher for me: it’s so comfortable and effective that I haves started using it on phone calls in place of my AirPods. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Great
Style: Standard Version Pattern: UC
They only thing, is I wish I could use them plug in, instead of wireless when not needed.

  • Make sure it’s charging
Style: Standard Version Pattern: UC
The software that runs this device is extremely buggy. However, the headset itself it extremely comfortable and my audio seems to be pretty good. The wireless Bluetooth connection is pretty terrible. If you think you’re gonna buy this device to remain coherent on the call from the other side of the house, look elsewhere. If I so much as take 1 step into another room, the Bluetooth connection becomes unstable and audio, voice comes out unclear. ... show more

  • Works well
Style: Standard Version Pattern: UC
A tough learning and installation curve for an electronic newbie with no help at all from the so-called guide but on-line help is better. Now that the worst is over it seems to work well. Good audio for speaking & hearing.

  • Cannot wander far from your PC
Style: Standard Version Pattern: UC
It worked perfectly fine the first few months which always seems the case for wireless headsets, in my experience. This was obvious in the beginning: If you need to refill your coffee cup in the kitchen in the middle of a 2 hour or so call, the sound is staticky then it disconnects. My kitchen is about 15-20 feet away from my computer, same floor as my workspace. So the wireless function is only great when you only need to get up and stretch during a long phone call, but you have to be within 4 feet of your computer. As for sound, it is getting choppy from time to time. This is with the headset fully charged. It always sits on its charger when not in use. ... show more

  • Great Headset
Style: Standard Version Pattern: UC
I got these for work since I do a lot of teams meetings at home. I got the regular ones (not team’s certified) and they work great with teams. Mute is a little annoying trying to turn on and off. But overall I bought use like new and saved about $80 and very pleased. Sound quality is fantastic.

  • Underwhelming
Style: Standard Version Pattern: UC
TL;DR = This is not a deal. It feels, looks and operates cheaply. If you can afford better, buy better. I've sworn by plantronics products since wired was 'the standard'. They've always been quality pieces that I knew could be counted on. This is the first time I've used one of their headsets and felt like I didn't get my moneys worth. Pros: Works (mostly) as advertised Battery is solid if you don't overuse Active Noise Cancelling, stellar if you don't use it at all. Cons: Flimsy ear pads. The fabric is that ultra thin garbage that disintegrates in a month--less if you sweat. Previously mentioned cheap fabric makes you (you guessed it) sweat. Or at least it does for me. Controls are 'iffy'. Rely on the mute button; do NOT trust this thing to mute when flipping the boom up as described. The audible mute warning is...stupid. Why is there no visual que on the dock? You put all these fancy LEDs in there; give me a proper at-a-glance confirmation that my mic is off. Do NOT inundate me with audible warnings that can, will, and no doubt do talk over a customer at inopportune times. The boom is not adjustable in a meaningful way. Toward the mouth and away are just as necessary as up and down are. Remember how I said it 'mostly' works as advertised? I have to constantly fiddle with Win11 audio settings to get it to work and play well. Swapping to another rig is a PITA. Bluetooth has noticable audio jitter across iphone, Win11 rig and Win10 machines when tested. Do not rely on 10 hours of battery life with ANC active. Closer to six. ... show more
