When I first hooked it up, smoke from the laser poured out of everywhere. Had to make a gasket for the fan to body connections, used 3 layers of duct tape and trimmed to fit. Probably would have been better off using the old "water pump soda box gasket" trick I learned as a kid wrenching on cars. Of course, you probably have a Laser and could cut a very nice gasket to be honest. Also you'll need plumbers putty or something similar to plug around the power cord hole. Took about an hour messing around to get it sorted, but it does the trick. ... show more

This fan is quiet but leaks like crazy if u w=are using for a laser engraver even after u used gasket sealer on it it still blows out smoke every where it just wont seal skip this and find a sealed inline fan

The fan is a little noisy however the worst part is the fan blade itself is so big and bulky than it doesn't work good for an exhaust fan for a laser engraver because with the blade being so big but didn't have the flow that it needed to have!
