Bought this because there are a few times where when assisting other in their moves, we just need some strength to get something up a ramp where just pushing something isn’t enough. I have used this to pull a piano up the ramp, some remarkably heavy furniture, and done so without causing any back issues to worrisome positions where I could injure myself. came in no thrills packaging , only thing im confused about is they want a invoice slip from themselves like the seller on here is reselling them or something ? , for the warranty . what is included in the come along is both of the hooks and the frame with 2in strap . ive Only had it setup on a bench to make sure the come along function worked and it does . I plan on using this to pull down half uprooted trees either so they fall or helping a tree come down . have more then a few that broke off at a point and stabbed themself into the ground at very bad angles where cutting them is unsafe if they shift while being cut. you need a chain or something to tie one end to what your pulling or lifting . the Listing also leaves out some Info i got the 4000 lbs version which is good for 4000 lbs pulling or 2000lbs lifting so wanted to include that in the review .

I must admit I had to get a lesson from my neighbor on how to use this. I knew what I wanted it for but was lost as far as operating it. After watching a few you tubes and listening to my neighbors tutorial, this come along is very functionaland will help you to do a number of different tasks all on your own. It is built very well and can handle up to 1500 pounds. The price for this come along is very reasonable!

I really expected better. First, the rope length is way too short at 4'. Bust out a tape measure and consider what you need to move, at max, 4', that would require a come along. There aren't many things. I mean, that's ratchet strap territory, or call over a neighbor territory. Beyond that, the handle can only be loaded in one direction, and you can literally feel it wanting to flex off to the sides when really loading it hard. And the release mechanism really leaves something to be desired. Overall, for the price, buy an actual 2 ton steel cable come along that's 3X-5X as long.

Had this out today, dragging around a7600LB Power Wagon WM300. It reminded me of what I didn't like about come-along winches 25 years ago. Finnicky, stamped internals; frayed cables--I never came across a good one that operated smoothly...this one included. Yes, it will pull strong, and the long arm is a definite plus. This POLESTAR gives me the kind of confidence that we're one pull away from binding up and forced to cut through the cable--or strap as it were. With all of the technical advancements in the Lithium Ion arena, the Warn 885005 portable has my attention.

Works well, needed it to pull a fence more upright to repair a few posts and get them reset. Its a bit heavy to still not have a wire cable. But beefier is better in most applications where you need a come-along. Only worry is the slings webbing deteriorating over time faster than a wire rope/cable one. But this does the trick just fine for what we needed.

Longer handle is very much appreciated. I like the strap as opposed to a metal cable. The hooks are large and strong. Easy to operate. Definitely would recommend this!
