This turned out to be a very reliable generator. We have lived in out travel trailer for the past 6 years and I’ve bought several generators. I asked AI to pick from a couple generators I was thinking about and AI picked this one. Very much like a Honda generator and more powerful than it looks. Only complaint is they call this generator the quite one…it’s not that quite, actually about normal compared to others…It will stop running if you allow any wind to blow towards the exhaust.. The CO2 detector will turn it off easily….great on gas…last, no way to tell how much gas is in it when filling so have overfilled more than once… ... show more

Very disappointed in this purchase. I bought the generator in May but did not unbox it until August when I needed to use it. I added the recommended oil and fresh gas. It fired up after 3 pulls, I moved the dial from CHOKE to ON, it ran for 8-10 seconds and it shut off automatically. After multiple attempts and the same result, I contacted Amazon who said I was past my 30-day return/support window from them- They directed me to the manufacturer. The generator company requested photos of the internal wiring harness and a video of what is happening. I sent what they needed. Their engineers determined it to be a faulty wiring setup and directed me back to Amazon to get a replacement sent to me for the faulty unit I received. Amazon said since it's been more than 30 days from my purchase, they cannot help me. Amazon said to contact the generator company directly for a replacement. I'm in the middle of the back and forth and still have a defective generator. I asked the generator support team why can they not ship me a replacement since they determined this to be a defective unit. Why would this not warrant a replacement covered under the 1-year warranty program- it's brand new and has never been used. They said they cannot ship a replacement and I need to take it to one of their service centers, which is over 30 miles away to get it looked at. I have now found out the certified repair shop I was directly to is no longer handling repairs for covered items, and they have directed me back to the manufacturer for a replacement unit. I have never had this much resistance and pushback from any product I've purchased from Amazon and their partnering companies, and we've been Amazon customers for 16 years. Awesome generator. Got this for my camping trips, and i love this thing. It was my first generator. Easy to start, and has tons of power. I ran 4 sets of strings lights, xbox, projector, and a fan. No issues. Not as quiet as id like, but very useful.

Make sure you put the cap on or off. Depending when using it. I learned the hard way. Make sure to brake in for an hour then change oil. Great generator for my detailing business. Gasoline efficient. Helpful when needed. Easy start quiet under 2000 watts or on eco mode.
