So it says you can return but then when you try it says you can't, I'll let the credit card companies fight that out this things is so cheap, it's a joke. Days it can do over 3000 watts but I can check with a meter and it starts surging at 500 watts and shuts off the motor at 1100 watts. This company thinks there little bait and switch will work, I'm an administrator on the biggest RV and boondocker site and this thing is getting a lively review for all 80k members, they'll never sell another one to rvers. ... show more

The only reason They get 1 star is because I can't give 0. That, and the fact Amazon customer support was so helpful. I've purchased one of these before and it worked great, but this time on my initial start-up it was locked down out of the box. I've been running one of these units for over 100 hours now and it's fairly easy to use, easy to maintain, and so far after 100 hours of operation has worked very well. So far the only issue is trying to find a replacement air filter as the size isn't quite standard and being a newer model the company doesn't have any suppliers listed. Another thing to know is the same hole the oil goes in is the same hole the oil comes out so you do have to tilt it to change the oil. However, this unit is not very heavy to pick up and move around. It can use a variety of oil grades, but I just use a standard 10w-30 non synthetic. Don't forget to give it an oil change after each 20-40 hours of use and to periodically check on the air filter (every ~50 hours). I haven't had to mess around with spark plugs just yet. If you're looking for a decently priced generator with enough power to use a freezer, power up a desktop computer, charge a power station (300wh), and cooking with an air fryer all at the same time plus more this unit will do nicely, especially when compared to conventional generators (this one is inverted) as the lights do not flicker when using more watts. The 4/5 star rating is mainly due to the difficultly in finding replacement parts directly from the manufacturer as the company states this a newer model and does not have that information at this time. I've also been testing different octanes of fuel with this unit too. The instructions call for a standard 87 octane, but I've found that using 93 octane provides an extra 2-3+ hours of operation per tank (1.6 gallons). ... show more

Item will no work . I put new oil new gas made sure all buttons were in on position and nothing. Appears to be a wire unplugged but no where for it to be plugged into . Idk if that's an issue but over all generator will not run at all.
