I got this because I wanted an affordable digital camera to achieve that "vintage" look. I love this thing! Some settings can be finicky but it's all good once you get used to it. Some things you should know: this camera only takes SDHC micro sd cards with a maximum capacity of 32GB (I screwed up at first by buying an SDXC micro sd card with a 128GB capacity and the camera said "card error"). If you're using this camera a lot, it will eat through batteries fast so I also highly recommend getting rechargeable AAA batteries (you can find them here on Amazon). If you have an iPhone, you should get an sd card reader you can plug into your phone, it made transferring photos so easy! I haven't tested the water resistance claim and I don't plan to. If you're looking for an underwater camera option, this may not be the best one... As far as the time stamp on the pictures goes, It's gonna end up being inaccurate because the camera stops tracking time once it's off, so keep that in mind. One last thing, the sd card and battery slot is SO hard to open. It took me forever to get it open the first time I've struggled every time after that. I've found that using a ruler to wedge it open has worked best so far. I've only had this camera for a few days so I can't attest to the longevity of it but let's hope I get some good use out of it! ... show more

    • Surprisingly lightweight

So this camera is above all else incredibly lightweight, almost feeling like a toy. It needs two AAA batteries to work and a Micro SD card, neither are included in the kit. Granted, this does have its pros and cons as rechargeable batteries for cameras can be very specific and costly if you want backups, but any AAA batteries will work for this, just make sure you have them on hand. For stuff like this I tend to buy rechargeable batteries so I essentially have exactly what I need just in a different form to keep this powered up. In terms of picture quality, it ranges from low quality, about 2m up to 16m, depending on your preferences and storage space for your device. The interface is fine, you'll get used to it eventually if this is your first time using a Polaroid or digital camera. Not exactly intuitive but, again, it will just take a couple uses to get in the groove of using this quickly. Initial setup was simple enough to figure out in terms of setting up my language and time/date. There's a function to automatically send photos to a social media account of your choice, do I haven't really mess with that too much. I got this as a gift from my mother for upcoming trips and cruises on the horizon. The strap included wraps around tightly and gives a good grip around your wrist in case of sudden drops or going over Bridges and you do not want to risk the camera falling away. The waterproof casing is something I have yet to fully test but it is noticeable mostly around the battery port which is pretty tricky to open, at least with one hand, and has a Tight Seal around to protect the battery and memory card so do use a bit of force when pushing this open. The data cable is fine, pretty standard USB type a cable for transferring photos back and forth between computers and the camera itself. The color is extremely accurate for the product, a very distinctive vibrant blue, and the matching silicone case is the same general color but provides a stronger grip all around the camera to make this easy to use for beginners or Pros alike. ... show more

    • !!Mac Users - format SD card on Mac first!!

DO NOT FORMAT SD CARD ON CAMERA IF USING A MAC. This camera drive me nuts before I stumbled on the solution to SD card problems. Lost two trips worth of photos and video because my Mac wouldn’t read the SD card and spent tons of money on recovery programs without recovering anything. HERE’S THE FIX: you have to format the SD card on your Mac using Disk Utility and choosing “MS-DOS (FAT)” . . . After this, I could freely access all new photos and videos without issue by plugging the card into my Mac. As for everything else, you get what you pay for. The camera takes grainy photos and video, and the battery life is very poor. The Mac buttons must be made for a different camera, because the functions don’t match and navigating is not intuitive. But it works and is cheap if you aren’t expecting much in terms of quality and user experience. ... show more

For the past 6 months, I have been buying/returning camera after camera looking for the perfect point and shoot to take everywhere with me and so far this is the closest I've come to what I've been looking for. I did not try the waterproof-ness but overall I LOVE this camera. I didn't really care about the quality because to me, that's what makes it even more fun. My ONLY complaint about this camera is the battery life. I would charge it over night and it would let me take one picture and then it would say low battery and shut off but not completely die. So I would have to turn it on take a new picture really really fast before it shut off again. The pictures I did get were great. If it weren't for the battery issues, I wouldn't have returned this camera but my search still continues for the perfect point and shoot. ... show more

We don’t always let our kids bring their phones with them when on day trips or vacation, but they’ve gotten used to taking pictures so this camera was a good compromise. It’s small and lightweight so it can easily be tucked in a pocket or purse. It was much less expensive than a phone and I won’t be too upset if something happens to it. The camera is easy to set up although you need a micro SD card. It doesn’t come with batteries either but it includes a USB charger. I really like that it includes a case, which both protects it and makes it easier to hold. They appreciate being able to take photos without having to ask for our phones. ... show more

I LOVE this camera!! It’s so small and cute and the pictures are so great. It even came with a waterproof case and a USB-C charger.
