I purchased this cover originally because it had two handles on it so I could uncover the top very easily and hang it to dry if necessary. I really like the buckle on the side that allows you to tighten the top on. I do wish there was one on both sides. The cord that goes throughout the entire base that only tightens at one end does make it challenging to keep the other end tight but the buckle compensates for that some. The areas the buckle apparatus is stitched on does need reinforcement and where the cord tightens in is somewhat frail. The grommet broke out after the first couple times of covering an uncovering but it works alright without it.

I chose this cover for my cold plunge because I thought it would be higher quality compared to the other options on Amazon. The cover does have a nice feel to it and it does a good job at keeping debris out of the water. My only complaint is that the buckle broke after about 4 weeks.

I was hoping that there would be some cold-water retention with its use but it doesn’t seem to have any effect. It fits well on the 100-gallon Rubbermaid stock tank, however, it seems to bunch-up on one side and will not fit perfectly symmetrical. Keeps most of the bugs and debris out though. The design is pretty solid and an overall good item. Should work really well for its purpose when the weather gets colder. Not many competitors in this genre — 3.5 stars.
