  • Sweet little unit. Beware top vent will splash out unless you add a length of fuel hose
PRO: Side tabs make it easy to mount anywhere with a little creative use of angle brackets. The cap fits snugly. The fuel nipple is built in so you don't have to drill, tap, and seal a new nipple. Very simple. The translucent sides make it easy to see how much fuel you have left. Works well with diesel or gas. It doesn't leak, as long as you address the seam issue all these tanks have. CON: (not a big deal) Like most tanks, this is heat-welded from two halves, so there's a seam. The only places this matters are nipple at the bottom and the capped opening on top. Both have a slight ridge on them, which will cause a leaky connection out of the box. But if you're the kind of person who's installing a mini gas tank somewhere, you're more than capable of removing this bit of soft plastic. For the nipple, carefully trim away the ridge with a razor blade and sand the stem with 400 grit sandpaper to make a perfectly round surface to clamp your fuel line to. For the threaded cap, all you need to worry about is the top surface, which you can easily get flat using the same methods. PRO TIP: This tank is vented so fuel can be replaced by air when it draws down, but the vent is pretty rudimentary: A simple hole in the cap with a little nipple where you can slip a 1/4" fuel line onto it. Which you should do, and have it go up in the air a few inches, ending in a few coils. This will ensure that if you're off-roading over bumps and so forth, the little splashes of fuel just go into the fuel line then drain back down into the tank. If you just use the bare cap, fuel can spill right out, especially if you overturn. WISH: I wish I could've found a slightly larger tank (like 2L) that would fit in my application (under the hood), but this little tank is perfect in every other way. ... show more

  • Use as a work tank
Needed a tank to run motorcycles when the gas tanks are off. This works great. Heavier duty than one I replaced that I paid more for from a very good company that specializes in motorcycle tools. Easier to deal with also since it is smaller and can be set on a surface without rolling off. So much handier. ... show more

  • Cheap and durable
Used it for a lawn mower that had a hundred dollar replacement tank. Worked like a charm.

  • Robust but odd
Very small. Used on motorized bike. Fitting size does not match motorized bike carburetor. I had to get creative. But it works.

  • It works and holds fuel.
The item works as expected, holds fuel, no leaks and vented cap. The construction is more of a $5 thing so not a good value for the money in my experience. Is heat-welded from two halves and the seam, which needs trimming since there is a ridge (especially at the fuel nipple). Nothing that careful sanding or razor with not fix. ... show more

  • Works but very small
Works fine, it does not leak and holds fuel as it should. Wish it was a little bit bigger but that's my fault for not reading the dimensions.

  • Leaks from the bottom - two in a row.
Leaked slowly from the bottom seam. Had two in a row that did this. Huge waste of time and effort.
