My jeep patriot was having throttle issues and going into limp mode. A mechanic quoted me $400 for the work and $250 for the part, I found this for $55 and found a video on how to replace it (there are a lot of tutorials online especially for Jeep patriots) it took me an hour and a $14 Allen wrench set I found on amazon. I am not a handy person and don’t know much about cars, but this is definitely something you can do yourself with some patience. After taking out the old throttle piece, I compared the 2 and this actually seemed like better quality than the original part! Jeeps original parts are honestly terrible quality which is why they have so many issues, so if you are hesitant about this cheaper piece just know that what came with your jeep is probably worse quality, the original throttle was disgusting and corroded, the mechanic had tried cleaning it but told me it just needed to be replaced because of how corroded it was. This came so quickly, I ordered in the afternoon and it arrived at 4am! Great quality, fixed my check engine and throttle light, car seems to be driving better now too after replacing this. Easy install, compatible with my Jeep Patriot 2015 2.4, insanely great value for the money. If you have a Jeep Patriot 2015, after you replace the throttle, the relearning function is different than what is mentioned in the instructions, you have to do the following: 1. Put the key in the ignition 2. Turn to “ON” position (do NOT start the engine) 3. Within 5 seconds, press the gas pedal: * Fully down → release * Do this 3 times in a row 4. Turn the key back to OFF 5. Wait about 10 seconds 6. Start the car Will report back if there are any additional issues ... show more

A lot of videos suggested that changing these out can have wiring issues. So I was definitely skeptical. However as other reviews have said, Plug-n-play. It took me less than an hour to install, was 100% compatible with my 2016 Jeep Patriot and has been running stable since. Excellent Value.

This part fit my 2011 jeep compass perfectly and it wasn’t hard to take out or replace. Just make sure u check and clean the sensors afterwards. If not u will need to take it to a shop to completely clear it from the dash. But it runs perfectly now. I would buy it again
