This is the most basic pocket hole jig, no bells no whistles. It will make holes for pocket screws, for whatever projects you have. You will need to clamp it to your workpiece, and you should spend some time practicing before using it on a final project.

    • Very poor machining tolerance = sloppy holes
The media could not be loaded. This pocket hole jig has some good ideas (two holes, 3 bit sizes, depth stops included) but fails at its most basic function. The drill bit sleeves aren't machined precisely and allow the bits to wobble unacceptably (see attached video). The bits can deflect so far, in fact, that any hole they make could be as much as half the width of the bit off center—in any direction! Nice idea, very poor execution. If you're looking for a pocket hole jig, keep looking. I have a different one (from Kreg) and it's excellent. I bought this one because it was super cheap and I was willing to take a risk. I bought this wanting something cheap to make a few pocket holes. Good intentions by supplier but the tool just didn't work for me. Read some of the reviews but the biggest problem is the bits are too dull and the hole machined in the jig isn't very precise and has too much play. I found it impossible to clamp it and drill a precise hole for my needs. The jig also doesn't drill a pilot hole like the Kreg jig does. If you want to fight thru these issues it will probably work for you but I think you'd be better off buying the cheapest single hole Kreg jig($10 more) as I did. ... show more

    • Jig hole tolerance is too loose

The jig hole for the drill bit is way too loose and can cause drill bit to move even when in the jig.

    • Compact size
I liked the compact size and ease of use. The jig comes with everything needed to start working right away (you have to provide the clamps, of course). This is good for a starter set of tools in case you are starting out on woodworking projects.
